It's reg.topics which are made reg doubts about Deen &such stuff ....
There shouldn't be this allowance openly, when someone makes such topics ,give them PM & direct to knowledgeable people who teach them with wisdom & with proper dawah -answering queries through some Pm's or any other way where others cannot see those discussions!
The fact is its end times & ignorance is widespread & people are looking for clarifications to get back to Deen all over forums & social medias.
We are living in fitan Duhayma times where doubts are its part ALONGWITH calamities & it will cleans people into momineen & kuffar in its end & its mentioned in authentic hadeeth that it's greatest fitan before dajjal!
if we don't clarify wrong notions, with kind approach& wise with uncompromising dawah,we will be able to help people towards Deen & guide them to JAnnah & save them from hell.
The fact is that in fitan Duhayma, people will be checked as people of fitan/doubts&hypocrisy!
So,one word of doubt plays with other people's minds too & it increases as we are living in difficult times & people are tested much so don't allow any such doubtful stuff open as it increases doubts, waswas& lead people away towards kufr.
I know I sort of said this before but now I'm saying -Please lock all threads that can trouble Muslims & everyone gets its affect as its end times of ignorance with fitan & terrible tines that harbour waswas!
for raising concern on this issue. Similar concern was raised by several other members in the past as well.

The only problem is, it is difficult to find knowledgeable people with sufficient time on their hands to answer each and every doubt raised by new members. That is why we had to keep the discussion open for everyone to answer. It is also possible that someone gives a really good and thoughtful answer which can be beneficial for all those who read the topic.
We will still try to find solutions for this issue. All suggestions are welcome.
How about giving some knowledgeable members access to threads deemed potentially problematic - place all these sensitive issue threads in their own sub-forum, with access given to members with knowledge in sha Allah.
Also, can you write any forum code so that when a new thread is submitted, the code does a search for threads with similar thread titles and suggest to the author that they copy their post their instead? Keeps things kinda - neat.

This is possible and we planned to do something similar. I will discuss with the other staff members to see the best course of action.

There is a Similar Threads box shown at the bottom of each thread. I think that can be useful.
Sometimes I see things in a different light and can contribute in a different way. Sometimes the questions are many and not all are answered (if we read all the posts and not just answer the OP) and this gives an opportunity for them to be attended to.
Plus, if I were to make a questionable statement, it can be questioned, hence also making me aware of it.

I always saw it too late coz I posted the thread. Is there a way to have a prompt appear when the author presses SUBMIT???
Scimi
We have implemented this feature now. When you create a new thread and start typing in your title, it automatically lists similar threads there itself under the title.
Regarding other suggestions discussed here, we are still in the process of discussion and we will inform once there is any update.
