    Post A Woman’s Fault!

    As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

The rights that Allah has granted women can’t be abrogated by men and it is a
Practicing Muslimah fault if she allows a man to take these rights away willingly.

The Muslimah has the following rights in marriage (choice of consent to marriage), divorce, inheritance, civil rights,
legal Status (Maintaining her own identity, name, etc), dress code (Burqa or non Burqa, Niqib or non Niqib), and education. (Not exclusive to this small list)

When a Muslimah is educated she is unable to be exploited by cultural and tribal
biases and understands the adherence to Islam is based upon Quran and the Sunnah.

    Az-Zumar (The Groups) 39:9

Amman huwa qanitun anaa allayli sajidan waqaiman yahtharu alakhirata wayarjoo rahmata rabbihi qul hal yastawee allatheena yaAAlamoona waallatheena layaAAlamoona innama yatathakkaru oloo alalbabi

39:9 (Y. Ali) Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.

    An-Nisa (The Women) 4:1

(4:1) Ya ayyuha alnnasu ittaqoo rabbakumu allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wakhalaqa minha zawjaha wabaththa minhuma rijalan katheeran wanisaan waittaqoo Allaha allathee tasaaloona bihi waalarhama inna Allaha kana AAalaykum raqeeban

4:1 (Y. Ali) O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, his mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you): for Allah ever watches over you.

The pagan arabs viewed the birth of girls as a curse and not a blessing:

    An-Nahl (The Bee) 16:58-59

Waitha bushshira ahaduhum bialontha thalla wajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheemun

16:58 (Y. Ali) When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief!

Yatawara mina alqawmi min sooi ma bushshira bihi ayumsikuhu AAala hoonin am yadussuhu fee altturabi ala saa ma yahkumoona

    • 16:59 (Y. Ali) With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on?

    An-Nisa (The Women) 4:19

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaa karhan walataAAduloohunna litathhaboo bibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa an yateena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunna bialmaAAroofi fain karihtumoohunna faAAasa an takrahoo shayan wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran

4:19 (Y. Ali) O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away part of the dower ye have given them,-except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.

    Right to attend the Masjid

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 165:

    Narrated Salim's father:

The Prophet said, "If the wife of anyone of you asks permission to go to the mosque, he should not forbid her."

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 113:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The woman is like a rib; if you try to straighten her, she will break. So if you want to get benefit from her, do so while she still has some crookedness."

Why do men prevent women from driving when it isn’t prohibited by Quran and Sunnah?

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 19:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "The best women are the riders of the camels and the righteous among the women of Quraish. They are the kindest women to their children in their childhood and the more careful women of the property of their husbands."

The error that many educated Muslimah make is to embrace the intellectual west view of a woman’s rights (feminism) and not realize they are able to be progressive and educated without abandoning Hijab and the application of Quran and Sunnah.

This thread was created with the best intentions and the best construction should be used when reading it.
Opposing views provide Dalil (evidence) based upon Quran and Sunnah and not personal, cultural and tribal biases
that are contrary to the Quran and Sunnah.

    Very empowering statements!

Now the challenge is how to educate women (especially in impoverished nations) so that they can educate their children and so forth.

Wonderful post... though I agree with ProudMuslimSis, it's hard to ensure that all women, including those in poorer areas or areas where they are oppressed, are educated about their rights and can exercise them.

    As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Alhamdulillah! That the thread provides support for the Muslimah. Just as you understand the importance of
educating and protecting the rights of the Muslimah you will have chauvinistic, neanderthal , cultural and tribal
habits that people attempt to impose upon women and the Ummah as a whole.

We have to begin educating and challenging the misinformation that doesn't promote Allah ta 'ala word being
superior with Quran, Sunnah where we spent the most time and not make excuses even when we are faced with
disdain. Many who don't provide Dalil (evidence) but what they are instructed will
oppose the effort. The Ummah is in a total disarray because of it.

The abolishment of the Khalifa and Islamic State. The intellectuals want nothing to do with reverting to Allah's laws
and the people who claim to support the Khalifa and Islamic State are the biggest abusers of violating the laws
of Allah and providing excuses for killing innocent women, children, elderly and non combatants.

You have twenty somethings that haven't even studied at a Madrassa providing Fatwa and people blindly adhering.

We do everything to review the dalil (evidence) and discount the personal opinions which usually is in abundance.

This post has been submitted with the best intention and the best construction should be used when reading it.

Question Misogyny is apart of many male dominated cultures!

    As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Why do the majority of male dominated countries practice misogyny?

According to sociologist Allan G. Johnson, "misogyny is a cultural attitude of hatred for
females because they are female." Johnson argues that: "[Misogyny] is a central part
of sexist prejudice and ideology and, as such, is an important basis for the oppression
of females in male-dominated societies. Misogyny is manifested in many different ways,
from jokes to pornography to violence to the self-contempt women may be taught to feel
    for their own bodies.

    An-Nahl (The Bee) 16:58

Wala taqtuloo awladakum khashyata imlaqin nahnu narzuquhum waiyyakum inna qatlahum kana khitan kabeeran

17:31 (Y. Ali) Kill not your children for fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily the killing of them is a great sin.

Thumbs up Re: A Woman’s Fault!

    As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Alhamdulillah for the Muslimah that support threads the highlight the rights Allah has
provided women. A shame that more sisters don't gravitate to threads that support
    their rights....

Jazakallah brother very useful..hopefully in future I will learn driving
I remember the example of" riders of the camel "given by my school teacher .she told that during that time camel riding was equivalent to car driving
