How do you use Black Seed?

    Report bad ads?

I got a rough idea of pouring hot water in it like making coffee but I feel this is the wrong way, I don't know.(To be honest I did exactly that today) I'm currently sick and I want to use black seeds as my medicine. I've done a search on the net and found a variety of hadeeth about black seeds but I can't verify their sources. Although I recently found one which is:

Narrated Khalid bin Sad: We went out and Ghalib bin Abjar was accompanying us. He fell ill on the way and when we arrived at Medina he was still sick. Ibn Abi 'Atiq came to visit him and said to us, "Treat him with black cumin. Take five or seven seeds and crush them (mix the powder with oil) and drop the resulting mixture into both nostrils, for 'Aisha has narrated to me that she heard the Prophet saying, 'This black cumin is healing for all diseases except As-Sam.' Aisha said, 'What is As-Sam?' He said, 'Death." (Book #71, Hadith #591)(Sahih Bukhari)

Come to think of it, maybe I should have done as the above hadeeth. I want to cure cough and clear tonsil in my throat.

I use the oil all though I know you can buy the seeds also, I don't know which is better though. I normally mix the oil with milk and drink it everyday, I've noticed when I have it I get a glow on my face but when I stop taking it the glow goes

alhamdulilah I bought it and drank it after breaking the fast. I didn't know it tasted like ultra coffee, Sugar and milk was added to the solution but the bitterness remains. I need to find a way to make it sweet just enough for my tAste buds to hold.

I sometimes mix honey with warm milk and then add the blackseed to that. But nothing will get rid of the bitter taste, you know I used to eat the oil straight out of the bottle but then i stopped cos it was burning my throat

Re: How do you use Black Seed?

You are to use a herbal tea for your condition which is quite effective, well to me it is, i hope it is for you too. here's how,

Take 1 medium sized leaf from a lemon tree.
    Few leaves of green tea,
    Pinch of black seeds,
1 Big sized cardamom.( big illaechi in my language)
    1 medium sized cinnamon stick.

Put these in heating water, lets say if you're making 3 cups for a day, put around 5,6 cups of water in the pot and let them heat on medium fire till the water remains about 3, 3 1/2 cups. Turn off the heat. Now save the drink in a flask of some place. Take only 3 times a day, with 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey! Must take this tea hot!

It is very good mahsAllah. If you dont have all those fancy things in the house (which are readily available in an indian/pakistani kitchen ), just try with the lemon tree leaf, green tea (jasmine leaf) and honey, and just squeeze half a lemon in it , it is wonderfullllll.

And for sore throats, avoid taking these oils directly, they stick to your throat and may cause irritation, one has to know how to take these herbal treatments, they require some patience, practise and knowledge

Re: How do you use Black Seed?

thanks for all the suggestion guys. My maid decided to put in less coffee and add milk onto the solution to decrease the bitterness and it worked. I will use other methods of doing it after exam(have it today) inshallah. Last question, will putting less coffee decrease the effectiveness of habbatus sauda?

Re: How do you use Black Seed?

I don't think it would but I'm guessing, I found this any way it's a list of websites that I copied into a word doc ages ago.

Dosage Requirements for Black Cumin and Black Seed Oil

Black Seed is an herb that has been used for over 2000 years for many diseases. It is also known as Nigella Sativa, black cumin, haba al-baraka and kalonji. Do not confuse black caraway with black seed, as they come from two different plants.

There are many sites selling Black seeds now, with the recent news of its cancer curing abilities. The news is that black seeds kills tumor cells of Pancreatic cancers. The health benefits of black seeds are numerous.
Black seed was originally used to cure migraines and headaches thousands of years ago. As the word spread of its healing abilities, the black seed became known as the miracle cure. There is much information on what Prophet Mohammad said, but little on how use the seeds properly.

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s beloved Prophet (PBUH) saying ”There is healing in Black Seed for all diseases except death.”

This article is to inform everyone of the suggested dosage. A few things to keep in mind. Using more black seed does not heal the person faster. Beware of companies selling the blessed seed that suggest large quantities and if using the whole seeds, they need to be heated first.

    How to Prepare the Seeds

The seeds have a harsh taste and will burn the stomach if the seeds are not heated first. Place the seeds on low heat and stir them every few minutes. Taste the seeds to see when the flavor becomes very bland. After the tartness is removed, take the pan from the heat. Grind what is needed in a coffee grinder and place in vegetarian capsules.

    Cancers and Tumors

Take 1 teaspoon of the oil mixed with one teaspoon of raw honey twice a day. This mixture should be taken one hour before breakfast and before sleeping at night. Also take 4-5 cloves of garlic daily or 1 teaspoon of dried garlic powder mixed with honey.

    Cystic Fibrosis
Massage the chest with the black seed oil. Drink one teaspoon of the oil mixed with honey, three times a day.

    Diabetes
Use the black seed oil mixed with raw honey twice a day. A change in diet is a must with little carbohydrates and no sugar.

    Diarrhea
Mix one teaspoon of the black seed oil with a cup of yogurt and drink twice a day.

    Dry Cough
1/2 teaspoon of the oil mixed with coffee twice a day. Rub the oil on your back and chest.

    Earache
Take one teaspoon of the black seeds that have been heated and smash. Add a few drops of olive oil to the black seeds and mix well. Place 7 drops into a syringe and place in the ear morning and evening until well.

    Eye Disease and Impaired Vision
Rub the eyelids and the sides of the eye orbits half an hour before going to bed with black seed oil. A half tablespoon of the black seed oil should also be drunk with a cup of carrot juice.

    Facial Paralysis
Place one teaspoon of the oil in a liter of boiling water and inhale the fumes.

    Flu and Colds
Take one teaspoon of black seed oil with honey in the morning before eating. Also, place a few drops in each nostril for nasal congestion.

    Gallstones and Liver Stones
Place a large spoon of black seeds mixed with honey in a glass, add in some hot water. Finally add in one teaspoon of oil. Drink this mixture daily, first thing in the morning.

    General Health and Well Being
Take one spoon of honey and one spoon of black seeds mixed every day or 1/2 spoon of the oil mixed with honey before your breakfast.

    Hair Loss and Premature Graying
Wash your hair and then apply liberal amounts of olive oil and black seed oil mixed together. Wait one hour and rinse.

    Headaches and Migraines
Take the black seed oil and rub on the temples. Place a few drops in the nostrils and also place some oil on top of the head. Eat some black seeds and honey, two times a day.

    Memory
Take 1/2 teaspoon of black seed and 1/2 teaspoon of honey three times a day.

    Mouth Infection Virus
Place some black seeds in your mouth and leave for 10-15 minutes.

    Muscular Dystrophy
Take one spoon of black seeds mixed with honey, three times a day. Eat as many raisins as possible. Eat a soup of morrow (soup bones) every day.

    Rheumatic and Back Pain
Heat some of the black seed oil and rub on the area of pain. Eat some black seeds and honey daily.

    Stomach Pain
Take one big spoon of black seeds mixed with honey. Drink some peppermint tea, then drink the water of boiled rice if hungry.

    Toothache and Gum infections
Place some black seeds in a cup of vinegar and bring to boil. When the vinegar has cooled to a warm touch, rinse the mouth with this mixture.

    Worms
Heat 2 teaspoons of black seeds with 1/2 cup of vinegar. Heat this mixture and then with a brush, brush the mixture on the stomach and liver area. Do this before you are about to sleep. Do not wipe this mixture off.
Before sleeping eat 7 dates to get rid of ascaris worms.

The miracle of this blessed seed is in the belief of the cure. Thousands use this seed with success daily, but it is necessary to take the seed on a regular basis and then when the person comes down with the disease, it is easily cured.

Anyone wanting to substitute the ground seed for the oil may do so at a ratio of two and one half teaspoons to one teaspoon of the oil. The ground seeds are what was used by Prophet Mohammad.

    Part 2 of Dosage Requirements:

Because this is such a lengthy subject, the dosage requirements have been broken into two parts. The first part went into details of how to prepare the seeds, some warnings and precautions. This part will deal mainly with some more remedies not in the first article. Health Benefits of black seeds are very many including treating cancers.

    Baldness
Rub the oil on the spots of baldness.

    Beard Growth
Massage the oil into the beard reaching all the roots.

    Bee and Wasp Stings
Boil some ground black seed and water and apply to the stings.

    Cardiovascular Problems
Take 1/2 teaspoon of the oil mixed with hot water daily. Drink this first thing in the morning.

    Complexion
Mix black seeds and olive oil and clean the face with this mixture. This will redden the complexion. Rinse the face well after one hour.

    Gas
Take one teaspoon of the black seeds mixed with one teaspoon of honey before breakfast.

    Hemorrhoids
Take some black seed and water and drink.

    Hypertension or High Blood Pressure
Take one half teaspoon of the oil each day mixed in some hot water. Eat plenty of garlic and get lots of sunshine.

    Immune System:
Take one half tablespoon of the black seed oil three times a day.

Increase the Flow of Milk in Breast Feeding
Mix two tablespoons of ground black seeds and two tablespoons of honey together. Add in 1/2 teaspoon of the black seed oil and eat this daily.

    Moles
Apply a mixture of black seeds and water and apply to the mole.

    Mosquitoes and Bugs
Burn some black seed oil in an incense burner and drive the bugs away.

    Nose and Throat Inflammation
Take one half teaspoon of the oil with some lemon juice. Make a vapor with some oil and hot water and inhale the fumes.

    Vomiting
Mix one half teaspoon of ginger juice mixed with one half teaspoon of black seed oil.
It is very important to read part one first, as it has some extremely good information on cancer and diabetes. The cure will not work unless the whole protocol is followed, such as preparing the seeds properly and taking the oil on an empty stomach.

There are many websites selling black seed oil and the seeds. Mountain Rose Herbs has one of the highest rating, but of course there is no guarantee by the writer. Look not only to the price, but the quality of the product. Do not buy from any company stating that it is black caraway. These are two different plants. Look for companies that state it is black cumin, nigella sativa, haba al-baraka or kalonji.

As always be careful not to take a large amount of black seeds as it can be toxic in amounts exceeding 25 grams. Follow the recommended dosage and always use the best quality seeds you can find. The most expensive, does not mean the best seeds. Nor does the cheapest seeds mean they are the worse.

Remember to take black seed everyday for well being and then if a disease strikes, a small amount of black seed will suffice.

    Benefits:
There are many, many benefits of the black seed. Here we will list some of them.
    1. Dizziness and ear infection: use it as a drop for the ears, for 'infection'; and drink it in tea and rub under your cheek and at the back of your neck for dizziness.
    2. For women and delivery: it is the best thing for helping with the pains of labor. Boil the black seed with honey and drink.
    3. For skin diseases: mix a unit of the black seeds' oil with a same unit of rose water and 2 units of brown flour. Before you use the mix rub the area with a cloth dipped in vinegar. Lightly apply the mix to the skin and then expose to the sun every day.
    4. Rheumatism: Warm black seed oil and massage the oil into the painful areas. Also, make a drink of boiled black seed and mix with honey, drink before going to sleep; and have a lot of yaqeen (full-faith).
    5. High blood pressure: Mix the black seed with hot liquids you may drink, such as coffee, tea, etc; and rub your body with the oil and have yaqeen.
    6. Chest pains and colds: Add 1 tablespoon of the black seeds in boiling water and inhale the vapor and cover your head before you sleep.
    7. Heart burn: add a few drops of black seed oil to a hot cup of milk and add one teaspoon of honey. Also, eat a lot of lettuce.
    8. Eye pain: rub the oil around the eyes before you sleep and mix a few drops of the oil with hot drinks.

    Black Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa)

100% pure, cold pressed, GMO, solvent & additive free and comes from the highest quality seeds.

Extracts from "Black Seed Natures Miracle Remedy" by W.G. Goreja

For thousands of years, humans around the world have recognized the tremendous healing properties of a legendary herb - Nigella Sativa, or Black Seed.

"Black Seed heals every disease except for death." The Prophet Mohammed proclaimed over fourteen hundred years ago. It's quite a statement; but..

The protective and healing powers of Black Seed, the seeds from the plant Nigella Sativa, are so astoundingly comprehensive and varied that for thousands of years humans have regarded it as a "Miracle Cure".

Black Seed has an unprecedented strengthening effect upon the immune system, and works in a host of other ways to promote optimum health and well being. It works by assisting the body in its own natural healing processes.

This remarkable herb has a legendary status and has had a recent resurgence in Western medicine. Its efficacy is solidly backed by three thousand years of folklore and the past fifty years have seen a burgeoning amount of scientific data to further support Black Seed's renowned healing properties.

'We now realize that a complex synergy of over 100 chemicals contained in Black Seed work together to enhance and strengthen the body's immune system in a way no other singular, naturally occurring substance has ever been known to do'.

The very fact that Black Seed targets the vital workings of the immune system grants it power over a wide range of ailments, both as a treatment and preventative. Consequently, Black Seed has proved itself a forceful ally against many ailments, such as those caused by bacteria, viruses, and common allergies.

It has also proved valuable against such fatal diseases as cancer and AIDS.* When it comes to health and well-being, a strong immune system is vital, and the properties of Black Seed are key to regaining the efficient functioning of your immune system and maintaining its optimum effectiveness. Furthermore, Black Seed is a potent, antihistamine, anti-tumour,* antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory agent, and the application of these actions alone provides relief for a multitude of ailments and disorders.

Black seed has such diverse powers that, before we examine the specific uses of the herb, let's recap the variety of actions that it provides. Although many more can be listed from centuries of use, the actions that follow have all been verified through scientific research conducted over the last fifty years.

    Black Seed's Mechanisms of Action

Analgesic: Relieves or dampens sensation of pain.
Anthelmintic: (Also know as vermicide or vermifuge) destroys and expels intestinal worms.
Anti-bacterial: Destroys or inhibits the growth of destructive bacteria.
    Anti-Inflammatory: Reduces inflammation.
Anti-Microbial: Destroys or inhibits the growth of destructive microorganisms.
Antioxidant: Prevents or delays the damaging oxidisation of the body's cells - particularly useful against free radicals.
Anti-Pyretic: (Also known as ferbrifuge) - exhibits a 'cooling action', useful in fever reduction.
Anti-spasmodic: Prevents or eases muscle spasms and cramps.
Anti-tumour: Counteracts or prevents the formation of malignant tumours*
Carminative: Stimulates digestion and induces the expulsion of gas from the stomach and the intestines.
Diaphoretic: Induces perspiration during fever to cool and stimulate the release of toxins.
Diuretic: Stimulates urination to relieve bloating and rid the body of any excess water.
Digestive: Stimulates bile and aids in the digestive process.
Emmenagogue: Stimulates menstrual flow and activity.
Galactogogue: Stimulates the action of milk in new mothers.
    Hypotensive: Reduces excess blood pressure.
Immunomodulator: Suppresses or strengthens immune system activity as needed for optimum balance.
Laxative: Causes looseness or relaxation of the bowels.

My Understanding of Black Seed Oil by John Claydon D.Hom

In what way does Black Seed oil, as a broad-spectrum remedy, differ from the other broad-spectrum remedies or superfoods, such as Chlorella, Barley Grass and Pollen?

It does not contain such a complete range of nutrients as the super foods mentioned, so falls midway between a herbal remedy and a functional food and Black Seed Oil has many health benefits. Superfoods can gradually improve the overall health by addressing the problem of cellular malnutrition - the long term basis of all chronic disease.

Cellular malnutrition in the first world is due to many factors such as farming methods that deplete the soils essential nutrients, and supply us with 'empty food'. The practice of cooking food denatures and impedes absorption, combined with impaired digestion. Other factors including eating refined foods and a toxic environment. These all contribute to cellular starvation of essential fluids and nutrients.

With regular consumption of superfoods we can gradually improve the state of our cellular nutrition, and in turn health will gradually improve, although improvements in vitality can often occur quickly. However, certain organs and systems of the body can remain below par even after a comprehensive nutritional and dietary programme has been in use for many months. In other words there are certain stubborn issues our bodies do not give up easily.

For example liver congestion, an almost universal occurrence, can be quite stubborn. You may choose to use a Liver/Gall Bladder Flush and this can often help. You can also use black seed oil (we cannot guarantee that this will clear out all your stones and 'mud' in the liver gall bladder region, it depends on many factors, but even with the flush procedure 6 or more flushes may be needed). I have found that after only a few days of using black seed oil it has improved liver function and associated digestive problems. The warming and bitter qualities seem to penetrate into blockages in the body and rapidly instigate normalisation.

Two persons with toothache were much improved soon after rubbing the oil into the effected gum. In the short term of my familiarity of this product, it appears to be one of those remedies that are very potent, highly effective, and able to target a wide range of health problems.

Some of the health conditions it has improved

Gastrointestinal dysfunction - flatulence, diarrhoea and constipation.
Liver dysfunction - underactivity, congestion, jaundice. Galls stones.
Kidney ailments - urination difficulties, urinary infections, cystitis.
Respiratory ailments - infection, cough, sore throat, congestion, bronchial inflammation, asthma. Bronchial-dilating properties.
    Menstrual problems
    Parasites
Hair and skin care - promotes follicle growth and helps to prevent dandruff.
Immune system - improves overall function, resistance to infection but also stabilises, helping to eliminate auto-immune diseases. Stimulates production of bone marrow.
Hypertension - Animal studies have shown benefits in this area such as a marked drop in arterial pressure after only 15 days of use. The anti-oxidant properties of black seed may account for its usefulness in treating hypertension and other cardio-vascular disorders.

    Diabetes

Various animals have been studied in relation to diabetes/high blood sugar. All showed a significant decrease in glucose levels after 48 hours of supplementation with black seed oil. Blood glucose levels continued to fall for up to a few weeks, when a levelling occurred and a therapeutic balance was maintained. The prominent physician and herbalist Muhammed Salim Khan has confirmed the benefits with human subjects. The best results with diabetes will be obtained by combining black seed oil with dietary adjustment, involving a low carbohydrate diet that includes raw fats and protein (see Dietary Guidelines)

    Allergies

Black seed has powerful anti-inflammatory, bronchial-dilating and anti-histamine properties, and as such is an excellent agent against allergic reactions and states. In one study on 600 allergic patients, 70% were completely cured of their allergies. The symptoms of allergy apparently included hay fever and asthma, skin disorders such as rashes, dandruff or inflammations, fatigue, bowel disturbances or lowered sex drive.

Your math is fine but those quantities are far too much. Generally, a small pinch of the Black seed is enough.

Tell me how much you want. It's very common in India. Some countries are poor in natural resources like Sind i.e. Pakistan. However, Hind i.e. India is very rich in natural resources Alhamdulillah.
