    Imaan Boosting Islamic Reminders (OP)

We all forget. Thus we need constant reminders. Whether it be via the revelation itself, word of mouth or something simple as this thread.

"And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers." (51:55)

    Re: Imaan Boosting Islamic Reminders

It is strange that a person may find it easy to protect himself from: eating Haraam, oppression and injustice, adultery, theft, drinking khamr (alcoholic drinks), and from unlawful looking, but it is hard for him to restrain the movement of his tongue. How often do we see people who are very cautious about falling into shameful deeds or injustice, but their tongue lashes against the living and the dead and they don't mind it?

The farther the heart is from God, the quicker it receives affliction, and the closer the heart is to God, the farther affliction will be from it. Distance from God comes in grades, some of which are more severe than others. The heart is like a bird; the more it ascends, the more distant it will be from affliction, and the more it descends, the more it is attacked by affliction.

    Re: Imaan Boosting Islamic Reminders

Ibn Al Qayyim was asked “What do esteemed scholars (may Allah be pleased with them all) say concerning a man who is afflicted by a tribulation which he knows will destroy him in this world and the next (hereafter) if allowed to persist? He tries to free himself by all means, though the trial becomes more severe, so what is the solution? May Allah have mercy upon he who aids the tested, and he will assist a servant who assists his brother.”

Ibn Al Qayyim said “The spritual diseases of the heart is the result of a person’s sins.”
The diseases of the heart is seperated into two categories:
    1. Disease of lusts and desires: The disease of lusts arises from sins and acts of disobedience.
    2. Disease of doubts: Disease of doubts arises from the doubts of the religion. The disease of doubts which afflicts a person’s belief system & is the most dangerous of diseases.

    Ibn Al Qayyim said:
The cure for these spiritual diseases is to turn to Allah with repentance and righteous deeds. The cure is in the Quran and the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). The benefits of sitting in the circles of knowledge.
The more sins the person commits the sicker the heart will be. The more doubts they have, the sicker the heart will be until the heart dies.

The Coronavirus is a contagious disease that requires us to take the necessary precautions, but are we taking measures to fight diseases that plague the hearts and souls, which are even more severe and deadly? May Allah protect us all. Ameen!

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.... [Quran 2:286]
...We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity...[Quran 6:152]
...We charge no soul except [within] its capacity...[Quran 7:42]
..Allah does not charge a soul except [according to] what He has given it...[Quran 65:7]

If a message is repeated so many times in Quran, we should pay attention to it & understand that whatever trials and tests we are facing are not beyond our capacity. Purpose of our trials and tests could to be to make us realize our full potential and use the abilities Allah has given us to get more close to Him.

    Re: Imaan Boosting Islamic Reminders

Suhaib reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.

    Narrated 'Aishah:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about this Ayah: 'It is He who sent down to you the Book. In it are Ayat that are entirely clear... (3:7)' until the end of the Ayah. Even in the darkest hour can you still believe truth will prevail over falsehood? It require tawaqqal (trust) in Allah. Imam Ibnul-Qayyem said:

Whoever thinks that falsehood overcomes righteousness, they don’t have full trust in Allah!
