    Hi!

I need a help, From 9 months I'm suffering from waswas I'm suffering specially in salat time. When i go to read salat get bad thoughts and shirk thoughts. And i try to fought with it but because of it i do mistakes sometimes in salat. And because of this problem i feel sad. Sometimes when i seek forgiveness from this, i get unwanted bad thoughts in the dua time .Even in the time of sleep and Eating i get this bad thoughts. I try to protest it but some time i say somthing wrong like, I'm saying "I'm eating this food by the name of no one, expect Allah". And sometimes it just cut off the" no" and mistakenly done this sin. So, is this a sin for me? And mentioned that as far as can i know I'm suffering from depression&anxiety that i can't explain to myself emptiness start with nothing.Mostly of the time gloominess is covered around me and don't know why. And this waswas makes it more stronger. I can't focus in College & class i fought with waswas thoughts in that time and then i realized that the class have been end and i've learn nothing. Can't focus in study. I thought I'll get help from my family. After seeing that I'm getting more silence and sad & unconscious they became to treat with me in hard way like they say you are useless, can't you see you friends how cheerful they are you stu**d",And my father have said if it goes on he will through me out of my house. Now, what should i do? It's like I'm getting shots from multiple directions. Day by Day becoming more silence and unconscious like sometime it takes 2-3 times to call me to get my response . So, can i get help from you guys? Tou out of my house. Now, what should i do? It's like I'm getting shots from multiple directions. Day by Day becoming more silence and unconscious like sometime it takes 2-3 times to call me to get my response . So, can i get help from you guys?
    Thanks,
May Allah guide use to the right path

    Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Do you know the power of Dua? Dua is a weapon of a believer!

A quick story of a situation in short - someone was once possessed by Jinn. A Scholar was invited to help and read various Ruqya's to remove the Jinn. Whilst the scholar was there, he spoke to the Jinn and asked why did you not enter my body? The Jinn replied and said along the lines, you read something at Fajr / Maghrib so I can't come near you!

What is this Dua that the scholar read that no evil can ever come near?

It is the dua taught to us by the Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him).

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who recites three times every morning and evening: nothing will harm him."

Dua for Protection from all Evil 1 - Waswas & depression

    Arabic to English: Bismillahil-lazi la yadurru ma'as-mihi shai'oon fil-ardi wa la fis-samaaa'i, wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Aleem

Meaning: In the Name of Allah with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in the heaven, and He is the All-Hearing and All- Knowing

    Re: Waswas & depression

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

    Answer :

Having doubts in Allah Almighty is natural and one should avoid being too concerned about them. In fact, doubts and evil thoughts are a sign of one’s faith.

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once a group of people came to the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) and asked: “We experience such evil thoughts that it is impossible to bring them on our lips.” The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Do you really experience these thoughts? Yes, they replied. The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “They are clear signs of faith.” (Sahih Muslim)

Sayyiduna Abd Allah ibn Abbas (Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a Companion came to the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him give him peace) and asked: “Sometimes I experience such thoughts that I would rather be reduced to charcoal than get them on my lips” (meaning that to speak of these thoughts was worse than burning in fire, m). The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “All praise is to Allah who restricted the devil’s designs to mere evil promptings.” (Sunan Abu Dawud)

The above two narrations cleary show that it is not unusual to have these evil thoughts neither is one more sinful or evil due to them. Even some Companions of the blessed Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) received these thoughts, as we have seen in the above narrations.

Therefore, one should not be worried on their account or feel sad and deterred, for these thoughts are signs of faith.

Some scholars have explained this by saying that a robber or thief only strikes at a place where he knows that there is wealth or money. He would not break into a place where there is no wealth. Similarly, when the devil (shaytan) whispers and puts these evil thoughts into anyone’s heart, then this shows that this person has the wealth of faith (iman) in his heart. If there was no wealth in that heart, Shaytan would have never entered it, thus one should not worry about these evil thoughts.

    No sin on mere thoughts

It should also be remembered that one is not accountable for the evil thoughts that occur in the mind and heart as long as they remain thoughts.

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Verily Allah forgives my Ummah for the evil thoughts that occur in their hearts until they don’t say it verbally or act upon it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim).

Therefore, one does not come out of the fold of Islam due to experiencing these evil thoughts, neither is there any sin., as long as one remains a believer with his heart, mouth and action.
    What to do?

When experiencing evil thoughts one should do the following:

    1) Do not be worried about them, rather one should be happy, for the occurring of evil thoughts is a sign of faith. A saint said: “Shaytan can not tolerate a believer being happy, thus when he sees him being happy for receiving these thoughts, he stops from whispering them.”

    2) When these thoughts come, one should occupy one’s self with something else. These thoughts will not disappear by simply desiring them to go, rather, one should get busy in some work or task.

    3) One should seek Allah’s protection and refuge from the devil. Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him &; give him peace) said: “The devil (shaytan) comes to one of you and says: “Who created this? Who created that? Until he says: “Who created your Lord?” When one experiences this, one should seek Allah’s refuge and stop the matter there”. (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim).

    4) Recitation of the following verse from Surah al-mu’minun may be beneficial:

“Rabbi inni a’uzu bika min hamazat ashayatin wa a’uzu bika rabbi an yahdurun”

Trans: O my Lord! I seek your protection from the instigations of devils and I also seek your protection from that they (ever) come to me.

    Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

In relation for protection from Shirk - Do You Know The Supplication Taught To Us By The Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him)?

The Messenger (S.A.W) warned us against shirk, fearing that his Ummah might fall into it, and said “The thing I fear most for you is minor shirk.” The Messenger (S.A.W) also said: “Shirk among you is more subtle than the sound of the footsteps of an ant on a rock. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, it will take that away from you both minor and major forms of it” (Saying this Du’a).

    Re: Waswas & depression

Instead of saying "I'm eating this food by the name of no one, expect Allah" just say Bismillah before you eat/drink and Alhamdulillah after you eat/drink

Say plenty of istighfar, offer nafl salah (if you haven't already), more adhkar and read Qur'an, seek refuge in Him anytime you need to, more good deeds - get yourself closer to Allah for guidance, healing and mercy.

Allah is Most Merciful, but only on Judgement Day you will know for certain, what is forgiven and what is not.

So repent right after committing a sin/error and guard yourself from committing it again, it will increase your chance for forgiveness.

I will post some hadiths later on. InshaaAllah will help
    Waswas & depression

Jabir bin 'Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:'A slave (of Allah) shall not believe until he believes in Al-Qadar, its good and its bad, such that he knows that what struck him would not have missed him, and that what missed him would not have struck him." Try as written in the hadiths below. InshaaAllah will protect you

    Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever recites the last two Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they shall suffice him." (Jami'at-Tirmidhi)

    Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Do not turn your houses into graves. Indeed Ash-Shaitan does not enter the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited."(Jami'at-Tirmidhi)

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," Whoever says: "La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir," one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he." (Sahih al Bukhari)

====Try say the above adhkar 100 times after salah Fajar and Maghrib

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“A scorpion stung a man and he did not sleep all the night. It was said to the Prophet (ﷺ): ‘So- and-so was stung by a scorpion and he did not sleep all the night.’ He said: ‘If he had said, last night: A’udhu bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created), the scorpion sting would not have harmed him, until morning.’” (Sunan Ibn Majah)

====You can say this dua to ask Allah protection from jinns too because they are also Allah's creations.

Also this dua to seek refuge from evil : Rabbi auzu bika min hamazati’sh-Shayatin wa auzu bika Rabbi an yahdurun (23:97-98)

Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said said that he had heard that Khalid ibn al-Walid said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "I have nightmares." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "Say, 'I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from His anger and His punishment and the evil of His slaves, and from the evil suggestions of the shayatin and from their being present (at death).' "
Audhu bi kalimati' llahi't-tammati min ghadabihi wa iqabihi wa sharri ibadihi wa min hamazati' sh-shayatin wa an yahdurun. (Muwatta Malik)

    Aban bin `Uthman said:
“I heard `Uthman bin `Affan (ra) saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no worshiper who says, in the morning of every day, and the evening of every night: ‘In the Name of Allah, who with His Name, nothing in the earth or the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing (Bismillāh, alladhi lā yaḍurru ma`a ismihi shai'un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā', wa huwas-Samī`ul `Alīm)’ – three times, (except that) nothing shall harm him.” And Aban had been stricken with a type of semi-paralysis, so a man began to look at him, so Aban said to him, “What are you looking at? Indeed the Hadith is as I reported it to you, but I did not say it one day, so Allah brought about His decree upon me.” (Jami'at-Tirmidhi)

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), "(Please don't take me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn." (When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the story) he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan." (Sahih al Bukhari)

    Narrated 'Aisha:

Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times. (Sahih al Bukhari)

Also, have you considered self ruqya?
