Do duas of the oppressed come always true?

    Report bad ads?

Do the duas of the oppressed always come true? What should you do when the oppressor taunts you and it seems like they are getting away and showered with bounties from Allah...it seems like Allah is letting these people get away? They dont seem to have problems or struggling as good people

    - - - Updated - - -

Can you please give personal examples of allah giving you justice or answering your prayer against someone who harmed you...something to give us hope and inspire those to ensure Allah really is Al Adl and Al Muntaqim

Re: Do duas of the oppressed come always true?

Yes duas of the oppressed are never rejected by Allah and Allah does the person justice even if it is after some time

However this truly has to be a real opressoin like someone got robbed, a weak person being beaten and 'taxed' by bullies etc.

If it's not a true oppression and we just deserved what we got as a punishment from Allah then it's best just to be humble in such situations and acknowledge our shortcomings and ask Allah for forgiveness and just say 'inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioun' and move on in life

Also being forgiving is a great sunnah so if any perceived 'injustice' to someone is easily forgivable then in this circumstance to not be forgiving will be a negative harsh response

In both those above circumstances praying for punishment on a perceived 'opressor' is likely to backfire and make the prayers life more of a misery

Although modern day Christianity is false, yet us Muslims can take an example from some priests; I read in the papers one day of how this guy broke into a church at night and very viciously beat the priest black and blue to an inch of his life

A journalist went to the priest in hospital and asked how he feels about the guy who beat him

The priest answered 'I forgive him'

Re: Do duas of the oppressed come always true?

there is a story I have that's sort of funny and although I never prayed for justice or anything, Allah did it anyway .

    This is several years ago.

I went to a new job as a ..... wait for it.... a waiter in an Indian restaurant lol (typical innit for a Bangladeshi?)

After I went there I saw there were two old friends of mines there, one of them and me were pretty close some years back so I was overjoyed!

Long story short, when it was the night before my day off, I jokingly said to my friend who I was very close to ... how much he will charge me to take me home in his car (because he would drive to London every night and he charged other workers £10)

I thought my friend would say that I can go for free and I'll give him £5 anyway to chip in for the petrol, but to my shock and surprise, my friend seriously started discussing with the other friend how much he should charge me and then with a serious face he said to me £12.

I was feeling pretty hurt that this guy who's supposed to be my friend suddenly back stabs me and treats me like an alien and says he will charge me £2 more than the other workers!

I had an argument with him and told him to stuff it and I'll take the train home the next morning. He said 'ok' without even an apology...

Few days later, a racist customer and his wife came and asked for a table.... I told him to take a seat near the bar while I check the bookings book to see what table is free, the racist guy started shouting and told me to take him to a table right away.....

Some time later he called one of the waiters and the waiter told him to wait a sec as he was dealing with other customers and this racist guy started shouting again and demanded that the waiter goes to his table straight away

When the couple had finished the guy went out and his wife came to the bar to pay the bill... I couldn't contain myself any longer and I told her 'tell your husband if he wants to come here again, not to cause trouble'. The lady started shouting at me.... so this time I got angrier and told her 'tell your husband if he causes trouble any more he's going to get hurt' (Lol wat a hot headed idiot I was eh telling a customer that?)

The lady started swearing at me and I started swearing back and the lady went out saying 'you wait'

My so called 'best close friend' didn't see this argument between me and lady as he was in kitchen. A minute or 2 later he came and stood near the door

I was a bit worried that guy would come back so I got the cork screw wine bottle opener and kept it near at hand

A few minutes later while my 'friend' (The one who back stabbed me) was still standing next to the door, suddenly this racist guy pushed the door and carne in, "who swore at my wife" he shouted, my 'friend' was a bit surprised as he didn't know what was going on and the guy turned towards him and "'smack'! landed a massive punch on his head!

Now usually I would have dashed forward to help a friend or fellow waiter against the attacker but I thought 'let him get it why shall I help him after what he done to me'?

With that punch my 'friend' fell flat on the floor and the racist guy put the boot in! Whack whack whack! He booted him up pretty bad all over for about at least a minute while I just stood behind the bar and watched. And then some customers got up and stopped it.

So there you go Allah avenged me!

Re: Do duas of the oppressed come always true?

Jazakallah khayran brother...part of the reason I feel fixated on this is because it's something like a sign that Allah knows what happened to me and how I was manipulated and abused. That I matter and am significant to Allah. That he hasnt forgotten me. I need this justice not just as sake of justice but as a sense of reassurance...it can help me sleep easy knowing bad people will always get what's coming to them. Even if I dont get married or succeed in life or any of thing...I desperately want this. Even if I do not get my justice or avenged then I worry and feel horrible about all those men and women who were used by evil people. Like women who divorce men when they get bored or see better option or men who use women as sex objects. I hate how no one understands the victims and often blame them...while the abuser are laughing behind the scene enjoying life with bounties showering them.
