I have a confusion. I live alone with my 2 years younger brother. I am not keeping well these days. Last night due to overstraining myself I was in severe pain. So, I asked my brother to apply some ointment on my back as I was unable to reach there myself. Is this haraam to ask my brother for any such help?

With 2 years I mean he is 2 years younger than me. We both are adults now.
Re: Brother and sister - what is permissible and what is not.
Hmm i am curious too, however I'm no expert on these matters but iirc I did read that to save a life or to administer emergency first aid then it's ok for even non Mahram to put their hands on a person (just to the extent necessary, and in the absence of a same gender helper or mahram ).
If a female expert is not available, neither is there a female who can be instructed to treat her… then in such a case it would be permitted for a male doctor to treat her, provided there is a genuine need. It will be necessary for her to cover other than the effected area, and he must lower his gaze as much as possible.” (al-Fatawa al-Hindiyya, 5/330)
Re: Brother and sister - what is permissible and what is not.
Thanks. I have many friends who are Muslim and they have made me curious to know about Muslim religion. It has really inspired me. He convinced me with his doings and nature that I should know about it. So, here I am.
