Last year, Pakistan built a Gurdwara ( worship place for Sikhs) & this year Imran Khan’s Govt. approved and started building a Hindu temple in Islamabad. Correctly the construction of Hindu temple is on hold because the religious scholars in Pakistan have given fatwas against building house of worship for other religions in an Islamic country. More details can be found in an article below: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/...112740210.html
Whats your opinion?
I am personally against this because it promotes shirk and how can a Muslim country and it’s government can support evil in a society?

Greetings Eric,
I dont know a single non-Muslim country ( this includes most secular countries such as UK and USA) which spends tax payers money to build mosques. The # of mosques you have metioned in India were far more ( because Muslims ruled this part of the world for more than 1000 years) and many have been demolished or converted to Hindu Tempels. India is most oppressive to the minority groups especially to Muslims and I am amazed that you are using India as an example for religious freedom? I hope you have heard about the destruction of Babri mosque in India, if not please read article below: https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/fe...132402226.html
This is just one example, there are many mosques which have been demolished in India.
Muslims believe in the absolute unity of God and we don't compromise anything on the ONENESS of Allah. That's why, Muslims can't support building of any places of worship which could go directly against their fundamental belief system. However, if the minorities living in Muslim countries are protected by any agreement with the Govt. & are paying Jizya then we do protect them and their places of worship.
