I read somewhere that there is a hadith
one should make dua at the crowing of the rooster (ask Allah for His favors).
But there are a few references where they say it should be done only in the fajr time?
and while making dua during rain, should one stand in the rain, or can make dua from anywhere?

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan."
