The Real Benefit of Belief without Good Actions

    By Mohammad Rafique Etesame

If someone wants to accept the religion of Islam, then he/she bear witness that there is no deity but Allah and Mohammad is the messenger of Allah, also he should believe in the holy angels, the holy books, the Day of Judgment, the destiny of man (taqdeer) good or bad is form Allah the most high and in the raising of the dead at the Day of Resurrection.

Now this man is a faithful believer and it is obligatory to him that he establish worship five times daily and pay the poor-due (zakat), observe fasting of the month of Ramadan and go to perform hajj if he has sufficient expenses.
Now in case if he does not offer five prayers or does not acts upon other worship, then he is a sinful but remains Muslim and not infidel. This is the main difference between the infidelity and Islam. And if a Muslim does not commit ‘shirk’ then it is hope that Allah the most high will forgive him all of his sins and he will get rid of the Hellfire at the Day of Judgment due to his good faith. While an infidel though he is a good man, generous and other moral evils activities are not found in him, but he will be entered the Hellfire due to his wrong belief i.e. committing shirk (associating partners to Allah the most high).

It is narrated that when the sinful Muslims will be entered the Hellfire (to suffer the punishment of their bad actions) and also the infidels, then the infidels will say to the Muslims that, “what kind of benefit you have taken from your faith that you are also burning with us?” Then Allah the most high will issue decree that all the sinful Muslims who had faith in their hearts even an atom weight, should be brought back from the Hellfire and made entered the Paradise and then the gate of Hellfire will be closed for ever. This is the real benefit of the faith (Eman).

The holy Qur’an makes mentions,” For, if one goes in search of a religion other than self-surrender unto God, it will never be accepted from him, and in the life to come he shall be among the losers ” (Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:85 ).
So, anyone who wants to be protected from Hellfire and to be entered the Paradise, then it is necessary that he/she should adopt the true belief i.e. the religion of Islam.
