Cartoonist known for caricature of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) died in a car crash

Lars Vilks, an artist and free speech activist whose cartoon depiction of the Prophet Muhammad on the body of a dog in 2007
made him the target of numerous assassination attempts, was killed in a car crash in Sweden on Sunday, the police said.
Mr. Vilks, who had been under police protection since 2010, was headed toward his home in southern Sweden
when the civilian police vehicle he was traveling in veered across the median and collided head-on with a truck,
killing Mr. Vilks, 75, and his two bodyguards, the police said.
The truck driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
“We are looking at the possibility that it was a tire explosion,” Stefan Sinteus, a regional police official, said during a news conference on Monday.
“There is nothing at this point to indicate that this was an assassination.”
Mr. Sinteus said the two police officers who were killed in the crash had worked with Mr. Vilks for several years.

Rivalry in [worldly] increase diverts you, until you come to the graves.
No! You are going to know. Then, no! You are going to know.
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty. You will surely see the Hellfire.
Then you will surely see it with certainty of sight!
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure (you indulged in) At-Takathur

Indeed humankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds).
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
Does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered,
and that (which is hidden) within the breasts is laid bare – that their Lord had been All-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? Al-'Adiyat 6-11

When the two recording (angels) record, seated on the right and the left.
Not a word does he utter but there is an observer ready to record it.
And with the throes of death, will come the truth. This is what you were trying to escape Qaf 17-19

But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, “Indeed, I have repented now,”
or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment. An-Nisa 18

And thus We have made to every Prophet an enemy among the sinners; and your Lord suffices as a Guide and Helper. Al-Furqan 31

Now he, his cartoons, and his efforts at tarnishing Islam will forever be forgotten, just like many of those who came before him. Except Allah never forgets. 11 years of wasting resources protecting this guy. All down the drain.

He have a bigger problem than what you just typed. He is in a situation that you and I don't want to be. No one can save him now. There is no doctor for him. No drugs to make him sleep off the pain. No surgery for him. Just non-stop suffering and pain that all the suffering of this world cannot come close to what he is facing now. Yet, even that suffering in the grave is not even close to what is waiting for him in the day of resurrection.
