signs and events/ proofs of Islam (OP)

    Tall buildings
He asked the Prophet: "When will the Hour be?' He (saw) said: 'The one who is being asked about it does not know more than the one who is asking.'
He asked: 'Then what are its signs?' he said: when you see barefoot, naked, destitute shepherds competing in constructing tall buildings.

1400 years ago an illiterate man in the desert claimed we'd see the bedouins competing in building tall buildings.

If we take a look at
Arabia roughly 100 years ago we don't see tall buildings.

For more then a millennia after the Prophet there were no tall buildings in
    Arabia.

Recently, in our own lifetimes tall buildings have appeared all over the desert.

    Today
Dubai has many skyscrapers, 74 listed with the oldest one being built in 1999 according to Wikipedia.

Dubai built the tallest building in the world in 2010.
    The Burj Khalifa

' he said: when you see barefoot, naked, destitute shepherds competing in constructing tall buildings.

This is a sign we have seen come true in our own lifetime

When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) conquered Macca, All were forgiven and there were people who planed for his killing and would not miss an opportunity to harm him. He forgiven all and told them you are safe. Even Abu Sufyan who was a commander of Macca Army, was also forgiven.

He was always merciful even when people say bad things about him or threw garbage on him he told everyone whats wrong and right but with love yeah even when someine said someting against friends he corrects them he never said anything to hurt anyone ever

Prophet Muhammad’s anti-racist views are seen in his friendship with Bilal ibn Rabah, a black slave who rose to a leading position within the Muslim community of 7th century Arabia. One story relates how Muhammad defended Bilal after Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari, one of the Prophet’s companions, called Bilal “the son of a black woman.” Annoyed with this emphasis of identifying people by skin color, Muhammad criticized Abu Dharr by stating “you are the man who still has the traits of ignorance in him.” The Prophet’s reference to Abu Dharr’s ignorance refers to the “pre-Islamic” state of jahiliyyah, an Arabic term meaning “the state of ignorance of Divine guidance.”

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

God is perfect, has no flaws, knows everything

God was not born from a woman's vagina

God does not leave his creation to kill him

God does not eat, sleep, or defecate

    God has no human imperfections

God does nothing that can harm his greatness

God has absolute power and follows no one

But Christ follows the will of God (the Father)

Christ did not know the time of the hour

    People tried to kill him

    He eats, sleeps and poops

Christ was born of a woman

God (the Father) is God alone and Christ is the prophet of God only and is not equal to God (the Father)

Why doesn't God come down to earth instead of the messengers?

The answer for us Muslims is in ‘Aaya 21:23, He is never to be questioned about any act of His while they( people) are to be questioned for their acts.

Allah has given us the messages through his own words in the Quran , and then appointed prophets and Messengers from among us to explain the verses to us. So it is not true that Allah has not conveyed the message Himself.

This whole issue goes back to whether we accept God as the Doer of everything. If we accept this principle that God is doing everything, it follows easily that He explains the Quran through His messenger. It is not the messenger who is doing the explaining, it is God. The messenger is just the means of communication – he is just delivering the message from God to us.

The danger is in forgetting that the guidance is from God and attributing it to the messenger. The messenger does not really guide or explain or purify. Those things happen through him in accordance with God’s will. God is the One who guides and explains and purifies.

“If you want to talk to Allah offer Salah. If you want Allah to talk to you read Quraan.”

The question was can Allah talk communicate with human beings.

So the answer is Yes, he can communicate and he does communicate by Salah and Quran.

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

    someone told me

Thank you for your kind message about Muslims. My wife and I have looked at many different religions over the years. Both of us grew up Catholic and found it very lacking.

We started our search for God and proper worship to include so-called Protestant religions, Self Realization Fellowship, study of some eastern religions, even went to classes in Hebrew & studied Judaism (which we found to be lacking in belief of anything of an afterlife.

By good fortune our youngest daughter married an Egyptian and for the first time, at the age of 70 we were introduced to Islam, the only true religion we had ever known. Simple and very straightforward, leading us on a straight path

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

Muhammad ibn (son of) Abdullah ibn (son of) Abdul Mutalib, was born on 12 Rabi 'Awwal in the year 570 C.E. (Christian Era) in Makkah, (today: Saudi Arabia) and he died in 633 C.E. in Yathrib (today: Madinah, Saudi Arabia)

In Arabic the word prophet (nabi) is derived from the word naba which means news. Thus we deduce that a prophet spreads the news of God and His message, they are in a sense God’s ambassadors on earth. Their mission is to convey the message to worship One God. This includes, calling the people to God, explaining the message, bringing glad tidings or warnings and directing the affairs of the nation. All the prophets were anxious to convey God’s message sincerely and completely and this included the last prophet, Muhammad. During his final sermon Prophet Muhammad asked the congregation three times whether he had delivered the message, and called on God to witness their answer, which was a resounding “yes!”.

As well as the essence of their call to One God, another accepted sign of the truth of the prophets is how they live their lives. The accounts of Prophet Muhammad’s life that we have inherited from our righteous predecessors illustrate that Muhammad’s Prophethood was guided by God from the very beginning. Long before, Prophethood Muhammad was being prepared to guide humankind to the straight path and his life experiences stood him in good stead for such a weighty mission. Then at the age of 40 when Prophethood was bestowed upon him, God continued to support and affirm his mission. Any account of Muhammad’s life is filled with examples of his exemplary character; he was merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, and generous, while striving solely for the rewards of the Hereafter. The way Prophet Muhammad dealt with his companions, acquaintances, enemies, animals and even inanimate objects left no doubt that he was ever mindful of God.

Muhammad’s birth was accompanied by many so called miraculous events and the talk of the extraordinary events no doubt functioned as signs of Prophethood,

Special but not unique circumstances surrounded childhood of Prophet Muhammad and these undoubtedly had a bearing on his character. By the time he was eight years old he had suffered through the death of both his parents and his beloved grandfather Abdul Muttalib. He was left in the care of his uncle and great supporter Abu Talib. Thus even as a young boy he had already suffered great emotional and physical upheaval. Both the many chroniclers of Muhammad’s life and the Quran acknowledge his disrupted life.

Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and gave you a refuge? (Quran 93:6)

Muhammad’s uncle Abu Talib was poor and struggled to keep his family fed, thus during his adolescence Muhammad worked as a shepherd. From this occupation he learned to embrace solitude and developed characteristics such as patience, cautiousness, care, leadership and an ability to sense danger. Shepherding was an occupation that all the prophets of God we know of had in common. ‘…The companions asked, “Were you a shepherd?” He replied, “There was no prophet who was not a shepherd.”’

In his teens Muhammad sometimes travelled with Abu Talib, accompanying caravans to trade centres. On at least one occasion, he is said to have travelled as far north as Syria. Older merchants recognized his character and nicknamed him Al-Amin, the one you can trust. Even in his youth he was known as truthful and trustworthy. One story that is accepted by most Islamic scholars and historians is the account of one of Prophet Muhammad’s trips to Syria.

The story goes that the monk Bahira foretold the coming Prophethood and counselled Abu Talib to “guard his nephew carefully”. According to biographer Ibn Ishaq, as the caravan in which Prophet Muhammad was travelling approached the edge of town, Bahira could see a cloud that appeared to be shading and following a young man. When the caravan halted under the shadow of some trees, Bahira “looked at the cloud when it over-shadowed the tree, and its branches were bending and drooping over the apostle of God until he was in the shadow beneath it.” After Bahira witnessed this he observed Muhammad closely and asked him many questions concerning a number of Christian prophecies he had read and heard about.

The young Muhammad was distinguished among his people for his modesty, virtuous behaviour and graceful manners, thus it was no surprise for his companions to see him, even as a youth many years before Prophethood, shun superstitious practices and keep away from drinking alcohol, eating meat slaughtered on stone altars or attending idolatrous festivals. By the time he reached adulthood Muhammad was thought of as the most reliable and trustworthy member of the Meccan community. Even those who concerned themselves with petty tribal squabbles acknowledged Muhammad’s honesty and integrity.

Muhammad’s virtues and good moral character was established from a young age, and God continued to support and guide him. When he was 40 years old Muhammad was given the means to change the world, the means to benefit the whole of humanity

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

Among the other signs mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him,

    and
warning that the day of resurrection is approaching

Like Christians, Muslims believe that life here is only a preparatory test for the existence of the hereafter. For every single person, this life is an ordeal for the life that awaits him after his death. A day will come when the whole universe will be destroyed and the dead will be resurrected to be judged by God. That day will be the beginning of a life that will never end.

This day is the day of judgment where all people will be rewarded by God according to their beliefs and actions. Those who die while believing that

"There is no God but Allah and Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of Allah." and that Muslims will be rewarded on that day and will be admitted into Paradise,

Some people say, "I think Islam is a good religion, but if I converted to Islam, my family, friends, and other people would persecute me and make fun of me.

The answer to this is what God said in the Qur'an

    (85) And whoever desires other than Islām as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

After sending the Prophet Muhammad to call people to Islam, God does not allow people to join any religion other than Islam. God is our creator and our provider. He created everything on earth for us. All the graces and good things we enjoy come from him. So after all this, when someone refuses to believe in God, the Prophet Muhammad or Islam, it is true that he or she will be punished in the hereafter. In fact, the main purpose of our creation is to worship and obey God alone, as God said in the Qur'an (51:56).

This life we are living right now is very short. On the Day of Judgment, the unbelievers will believe that the life they lived on earth lasted only one day or part of a day, as God said.

Life in the afterlife is very real. It is not only a spiritual life, it is also a physical life. We will live in the hereafter with our soul and our bodies.

By comparing the world below with the hereafter, the Prophet Muhammad said: {The value of this world below in comparison to the next is like when you dip your finger in the sea and you take out: then see what you take out of it (from the sea) with your finger!} 1 The meaning of this hadith is that the value of this world compared to the hereafter is like a few drops of water compared to the whole sea.

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

Submission to Allah (the Father) alone as all the prophets did Adam, Jesus, Moses, Muhammad and others, peace be upon them

He (peace be upon him) submitted to this position of a slave of Allah, being submissively obedient to Him concerning all that He orders and prohibits, although the Prophet (peace be upon him) was a Messenger of Allah to all the world.

Muslims love and respect all the prophets, especially the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and this does not mean that they worship them, and this is the greatest evidence of how the Prophet Muhammad treated his companions and all people as brothers and friends

    1-

The humility of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with his Companions

There are many examples of the Messenger of Allah’s humility with his Companions, for example: he, when he was leading the army, used to take the advice of his Companions, as he did in the battle of the ditch when he implemented Selman’s idea, who was one of the Muslim soldiers, to dig a ditch. In fact, he (peace be upon him) helped his Companions in carrying soil on the day of the battle to the extent that his stomach was covered with dust!!

Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prohibited his Companions from standing up for him, and this was only because he was very humble. One-time Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) met his Companions when he was leaning on a stick, and they stood up for him. He (peace be upon him) did not like such an act from them, and told them,

Do not stand up [for the people] as the foreigners stand up to venerate each other related by Ahmed.

This is opposite to what some proud people do because of their love for people to venerate them. Such people become annoyed with others if they do not stand up for them.

Another example of the Messenger of Allah’s humility with his Companions is that he used to sit with them just like any one of them, that is, he did not sit with them in a way that differentiated him from others, to the extent that if a stranger, who did not know him, entered the gathering where the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was sitting, he (the stranger) was unable to distinguish him from the others. The stranger would ask,

Which one of you is Muhammed?!” Although the Prophet (peace be upon him) was sitting among them (his Companions), leaning on his arms related by Al-Bukhari.

The Prophet’s Message was not a worldly message by which he sought kingship or power. It was a prophetic Message for the next life, whose purpose, at all times, was based on gaining the pleasure of Allah, and whose aim was to inform the people about the Message of Islam.

The greatest example of the Prophet’s humility was clear when his Companions praised him and talked to him as though he was a master; he (peace be upon him) used to often say to them, “I am only a slave and Messenger of Allah.” And when he (peace be upon him) heard some of his Companions call him by saying, “Oh our master! Oh son of our master! Oh the best of us! Oh the son of the best of us!” He (peace be upon him) prohibited them from saying these words by saying,

I am Muhammad ibn Abdullah, a slave of Allah and His Messenger. By Allah, I do not like you to raise me above my true position which Allah set for me related by Ahmed.

    2-

The Humility of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with his family

He (peace be upon him) used to participate in serving his family in the house; he did not think such work was above him. Concerning this, a man asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her),

    related by Ahmed

Yes… Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was very noble; he did not, despite his high level and position, disdain to mend his sandals and sew his thobe. In fact, he helped his family in the house and looked after his own belongings without feeling proud and feeling that he was above such work.

    3-

    His humility as the victor

The day the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) liberated Mecca, the Muslim army entered Mecca as victors with little resistance. They (the people of Mecca) turned their attention towards the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and the hearts of the polytheists, who had harmed the Messenger of Allah and his Companions, reached their throats out of their extreme fear of what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) may do with them.

In such a situation, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) entered Mecca. He was riding a camel, reading Surah Al-Fath, with his back bent and his head lowered until the edge of his beard nearly touched his ride, as a show of humility to Allah as well as thanks to Him for honouring him (peace be upon him) with a great triumph.

On that day, a man came to talk to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The man thought that he was standing in front of one of the victorious kings. This was the situation in which he found himself: in awe of the prestigious position of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). All that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did was to calm his fears and say the well-known saying,

Relax! I am not a king. I am just the son of a woman from the tribe of Quraish who used to eat dried meat related by Ibn Majah.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made clear to the man that he was not a king, and he told him what his mother used to eat to make clear that he was one of them (Quraish), not a proud one to be scared of. What type of great humility did the heart of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) feel?! He (peace be upon him) used to lower his wings (to care) for the elderly and the young, his family and his Companions, his relatives and non-relatives alike, even the male and female slaves. All of these, in his eyes, were the same; he did not prefer one over the other except according to their good deeds. His biography abounds with many incidents and proofs that testify to his humility with the people, no matter what their status and situation may have been.

Humility penetrated deeply into the soul of Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)

Forgiveness, humility, compassion and tenderness were established deeply in the soul of the Prophet (peace be upon him), which instilled the love of him (peace be upon him) in the hearts of all those around him. It has been reported that he (peace be upon him) never refused the invitation from anyone no matter how poor or lowly the person may have been, and he never refused any gift that was given to him no matter how small it was. Moreover, if he sat with anyone, he did not raise his knees towards him in a show of pride and prejudice…”

    Houses of worship become Palaces

The Prophet said before the hour the houses of Allah will become palaces.

I remember one job I was hanging a chandelier. One of the complicated ones that have 1000 little crystals on them taking a few hours to assemble. I forget how i found out but i was told the fixture itself cost $2,500.

This kind of thing aggravates me. How can you go and spend several thousand dollars on a light when many go to bed hungry? Granted, there's like 5 million people in this city but those in need are within the 100's if not 1000's and we see them at every traffic intersection.

Surely there are better places to use the money? When the funds are mostly sadaqah, how can you use it on extravagance?
How can you buy an expensive fixture and hang it in a house of God?

Masha Allah, many mosques today are nothing short of beautiful.

    While some are beyond extravagant.

I'm not saying a mosque should be run down, but in the Prophets (saw) time the mosque had a dirt floor while masjids today literally have millions poured into them.

The Prophet said before the hour the houses of Allah will become palaces.

Is this not what we see today?

Comparing the chairs to those light fixtures, the chandeliers look like they are about 14-16 feet wide.
This is likely bigger then the room you are sitting in now.
I would not be surprised if the lighting alone cost $50K in this masjid.

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

    someone told me

    The Qur'an

I just read the first chapter and it’s explanation online and I’m quite taken aback. I’ve also heard the recitation online - this is otherworldly - and feels divine in origin.

What if we are wrong about Islam and it truly is the final message from God to mankind?

I mean, think about it. All the monotheistic religions are from the Middle East, and Islam claims to be a continuation of the very same tradition stemming back all the way from Adam, to Noah, to Abraham, to Moses, to Jesus and finally to Mohammed. When I look into the core theology which each of these chosen of God preached, I find the very same unshakeable message - it’s continuity is undeniable - and to deny this fact would be akin to signing away all of ones faculties of reason, logic, and higher thinking.

If you truly are a seeking heart, why don’t you pick up a Quran and read/study it with sincerity like I am?

I can’t believe I’m preaching to read the Quran already lol but yeah, do it, if you can live up to your username.

Do not take your information from anti-Islam sites

Do not take your information from Christian missionary organizations

I always say you should learn about Islam from specialized Islamic centers

The Qur'an is in Arabic and the translation of the Qur'an is only an approximation of the meaning of the Qur'an

Many non_muslims learn the Arabic language in order to study the original manuscripts of the Qur’an as an original source and return to it if the translation makes a mistake in the meanings of the Qur’an.

Because you have an original source for the Qur’an, which is the Arabic language in which the Qur’an was revealed, even if there is an error in one of the translations to interpret the meanings of the Qur’an.You have an original source to correct the translation

Unlike Christians, they do not understand their Bible and interpret it according to their whims

    Christ spoke the Aramaic language

However, you will not find the original source of the Bible as a reference for Christians in the Aramaic language, but only translations in different languages such as Greek and other languages. You do not have a reliable and original source to correct the mistakes of the writers and the incorrect translation.

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

    Unwanted children

I don't think any can deny the family unit today is largely broken, especially in the west. Whether the home be without a father or both parents seeking dunya (working) leaving the tv at home to raise the children. Assuming they even have children.

Today it is common for an American woman to put her career first and worry about a family later. Its somewhat common today for a woman to graduate from high school, directly go to college for 2-4 years, jump into a career and post pone having a family until she is well into her 30's.

Its not just careers and education. There are other excuses given, such as they can't afford the financial burden , they are too young, their partner is not ready for a family and so on.

If we look at the data abortions are most common amongst woman in their early 20's.
Technically this is the perfect age to begin a family.

30% per 1000 births of woman 20-24 years old sought out abortion.
This is a staggering number. Literally 300 per 1000 newborns were euthanized.

I have given some reasons women seek out abortions. Fear of loss of career, loss of wealth, loss of partner and so on.

Would it interest you to know the Prophet of Islam said when the hour nears, woman will rip open her stomach in fear of giving birth?

Is this not what we see today? This was prophecised over 1400 years ago by an illiterate man in the desert.

How many posts is it gonna take for you to realize Islam is the truth?

"We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth."
    (41:53 Quran)

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon himworshiped God (the Father) alone, like Christ and all the prophets before him Therefore, the prophets lived spiritually with the true God. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, had scientific miracles that scientists have proven to be true. And non-scientific miracles that have historical proofs and witnesses. Indeed, these scientific and non-scientific miracles have occurred in the past and present, as attested by scientists. The Qur’an is a revelation and the word of God, infallible from error There is no comparison between ordinary people and their experiences and the prophets and God’s true revelation to them. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him despised false worship to any man-made gods or images or anything in creation as a god. He hated all of the complexities and degradation to which it leads. This is in direct obedience to the second commandment in the mentioned verses, "Thou shalt not make any graven images." But we find pictures and statues in churches, and some Christians prostrate to the statue of Jesus and prostrate to the statue of Mary Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, performed these same ceremonies in worship to what we find the prophets doing before him, bowing to toward the ground and prostrating (falling on the face) while praying and worshipping. Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, never drank alcohol or strong drink, even though it was a very normal thing for people of his time and place. "O you believers! Intoxicating drinks, gambling, fortune telling, etc. is the hated work of the devil. So stay away from all of that horrible stuff, that you will be successful." Worshiping God is pride and victory in itself and in it there is equality between all people Muslims worship God who created everything. Allah forbids us from worshiping anything else (e.g. statues, the sun, moon, Jinn , Angels ,saints, priests or even Prophets). He does not need any partners or intermediaries. Everyone can always worship God .directly. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived in the desert in Saudi Arabia Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) lived in Palestine . the time of our Prophet (S), human beings were living under all kinds of oppressive systems. J.H. Denison aptly sums up the miserable human condition prevailing at that time: “It seemed then the great civilization that it had taken four thousand years to construct was on the verge of disintegration, and that mankind was likely to return to that condition of barbarism where every tribe and sect was against the next, and law and order were unknown…. Civilization… rotted to the core, riven by the storms of war, and held together only by cords of ancient customs and laws, that might snap at any moment. Was there any emotional culture that could be brought in, to gather mankind once more into unity and to save civilization? ... That such a culture should have arisen from Arabia just at the time when it was most needed.” [J. H. Denison, Emotion as the Basis of Civilization, pp. 267-268] The Prophet mohmmed(S) liberated human beings from these oppressions and opened the door of true freedom for humanity. The Prophet’s mission (and therefore his Sunnah) was to establish the unity of humankind (2:213). This was a necessary consequence of the belief in the unity of God (112:1). The Prophet (S) did not achieve this high goal by rituals and dogmas alone. Nor did he accomplish it by supernatural means. He (S) and his companions (R) persevered and struggled to create social and political change through Quranic education and training. They challenged the secular, tribal, and temporal forces of exploitation and corruption. They torched the path to freedom by removing the chains placed on human beings by these forces: “… lift[ed] from them their burdens and the shackles that were upon them...” (7:157). This struggle of our Prophet (S) and Sahaba (R) gave unimagined freedom to oppressed human beings. Thus the darkest period in human history (quotation from Denison) was turned into a most enlightened one. God revealed the Qur'an to the Prophet Muhammad to correct the previous books God forbids usury, adultery, alcohol, gambling, pork, incest, However, we find in the Bible that these calamities are not prohibited in some parts of it And Christians do it openly and attribute it to Christ and they are not ashamed Christians are deceived by the devil Because their book contains these taboos But the Qur'an forbids that The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, who ordered the abandonment of usury, adultery, alcohol, gambling, pork, and incest. Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (the Day of Judgment). These are the words of Prophet Muhammad. They paint a picture of the time leading up to the Day of Judgement, when righteous people will be sorrowful due to the lack of honesty around them. In the 21st century, we live in a world where honesty is valued and yet shunned at the same time. We expect people to be honest in their dealings with us yet we watch and applaud television shows and movies that promote and encourage lying and deceitfulness.

Without thinking, we teach our children that dishonesty is acceptable. When we expect our children to tell the caller on the telephone we are not home, this is a lesson in deceit. When we refuse invitations and pretend we are busy, this is lying. We admonish our children for lying, yet the reality is we have been their teachers. Whether we tell lies, or whether we allow our children to live in a world surrounded by deceit, the lesson is learned and the honesty begins to disappear from the hearts of the next generation.

Honesty incorporates the concepts of truthfulness and reliability and it resides in all human thought, words, actions and relationships. It is more than just accuracy; it is more than just truthfulness, it denotes integrity or moral soundness. Islam commands truthfulness and forbids lying. God commands that a Muslim be honest.

“O you who believe! Fear God, and be with those who are true (in word and deeds).” (Quran 9:119)

Ibn Katheer, the renowned Quran scholar, explained the meaning of this verse. He said, “Being truthful and adhering to truthfulness, means you will be among the people of the truth and be saved from calamity and that it will make a way out for you from your problems”.

A true believer, one who is truly submitted to God, has many characteristics by which he can be identified. The most obvious of these noble characteristics are honesty of character and truthfulness of speech. Prophet Mohammad was a perfect example of honesty. Even before his Prophethood, he had earned the titles of Al Amin (the trustworthy one) and As Sadiq (the truthful).

Al Amin, the Prophet Muhammad once gathered all the people of Mecca and asked them, “O people of
Mecca! If I say that an army is advancing on you from behind the mountains, will you believe me?” All said in one voice, “Yes, because we have never heard you telling a lie.” All the people, without exception, swore to his truthfulness and honesty because he had lived an unblemished and extremely pious life among them for forty years.

Abu Sufyan described his honesty. When Prophet Muhammad sent a letter to the Emperor of Byzantium inviting him to Islam, the Emperor, Heraclius sent for the Meccan trader, Abu Sufyan. Even though he was, at that time, a dire enemy of Islam, he spoke the truth about Prophet Mohammad when he said, “He neither tells lies nor betrays others, he bids people to worship God Alone and orders us to observe prayer, honesty and abstinence”

This honesty, an essential ingredient of the Muslim character, includes being truthful towards God by worshipping Him sincerely; being truthful to oneself, by adhering to God’s laws; and being truthful with others by speaking the truth and being honest in all dealings, such as buying, selling and marriage. There should be no deceiving, cheating, falsifying or withholding of information, thus a person should be the same on the inside as he is on the outside.

Prophet Muhammad warned us of the dangers inherent in dishonesty, and the benefits of living in an honest way. He said:

“Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to
Paradise. In addition, a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to wickedness and evil-doing, and wickedness leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before God, as a liar”. (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

A true Islamic society is based upon honesty and justice, and is intolerant of dishonesty in all its various forms. Honesty in all business transactions is emphasised and the Prophet Muhammad exhorts Muslims to be scrupulously honest in all their dealings. Abdullah ibn Omar was once described as the “brother of the night.” He would stand at night performing prayer, weeping, seeking God’s forgiveness and reading Quran. One day, he was sitting among some close friends and he read the following verses:

“Woe unto those who give short measure, those who, when they are to receive their due from people, demand that it be given in full but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give less than what is due. Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead (and called to account) on an awesome Day, the Day when all men shall stand before the Sustainer of all the worlds?” (Quran 83:1-6)

Abdullah wept until he was faint and kept repeating the words “the day when all men shall stand before the Sustainer of all the worlds.” He was amongst the most honest and trustworthy men, but being reminded of the punishment for those who are deceitful filled him with fear.

A Muslim seeking to please God and follow the path of righteousness should be aware of the dangers of deceit and dishonesty. However, equally he should know that God is all Merciful and all Loving, willing to forgive even the gravest sins for those who strive for His sake. Honesty is very important in the life of a believer.

“Honesty descended from the Heavens and settled in the roots of the hearts of men (faithful believers), and then the Quran was revealed and the people read the Quran, (and learnt it from it) and also learnt from the sayings and traditions. Both the Quran and the traditions strengthened their honesty. (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

This is from among the many sayings of Prophet Muhammad, many of which forbade deceit and enjoined honesty. For those who wish to be among the truthful, Prophet Muhammad has left us with these words of guidance, “Let he who believes in God and the Last Day either speak good or keep silent”. (Saheeh Muslim)

    peace be upon him

It means respect and love for the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him

We also say it to the Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him

We also say it to the Prophet Moses, peace be upon him

And for all the prophets from Adam to the last prophet, Muhammad, peace be uponthem

It was narrated by Anas ibn Malik that the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said: ”If someone sends one prayer upon me, Allah sends ten prayers upon him, He erases for him ten mistakes, and He raises him ten degrees.”

Praying on the prophet one time, Allah will send us blessings ten times, and ten of the mistakes we committed will be erased.

Praying on the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) will get us closer to him in the afterlife. The prophet said:

“The person closest to me on the Day of Resurrection is the one who sent the most prayers upon me.”

Praying for the Prophet Muhammad and saying peace be upon him

Praying on the prophet one time, Allah will send us blessings ten times, and ten of the mistakes we committed will be erased.

Imagine if you said peace be upon him ten, a hundred, or a thousand times every day throughout your life

How much will you get the double reward from God? This is a gift from God (the Father) to Muslims

Re: signs and events/ proofs of Islam

Actually, there is NO Command in either Quran or Ahadith that it should ONLY be read in Arabic

Imagine, if you can’t understand Arabic, what would be the point of having it then?

You can read in any language you understand

Quran came in Arabic because it was best language, with maximum capacity to contain meanings and depth, thus Arabic being a biggest vessel for greatest Book is best match.

Though it is best to know Quran in original language but it is not a pre-condition. Arabic should be learnt. Most non-Arabic Muslims learn how to read Arabic, and they read in Arabic with help of side by side translations.

A Quran as Book must have Arabic text, then any translation can be given.

It is commanded to convey message of Quran to all world. It will be impossible to wait first to teach everyone Arabic then convey. Convey in their language. Learn and teach them Arabic too.

It is universal in the sense that anyone can become a Muslim. Speaking Arabic is not a prerequisite to becoming Muslim.

If a person wants to understand the Quran they can either learn Arabic (and the associated knowledge) or they can go to someone who already has.

If a non Arab wants to understanding the Quran then translations in every language are available.

    Christ spoke the Aramaic language

However, you will not find the original source of the Bible as a reference for Christians in the Aramaic language, but only translations in different languages such as Greek and other languages. You do not have a reliable and original source to correct the mistakes of the writers and the incorrect translation.

Since it was written in a language that most people do not understand, which is the Aramaic language, and they claim that Christ was sent to all nations, although he was sent only to the lost sheep of the Children of Israel.
