I'd die without my grandparents...I am shocked you do not have such a relationship with your grandparents.
My grandfather is the sort who only engages in a serious conversation with other senior people who are about his age...But I can have a serious conversation with my grandfather for an hour, but his own sons will not be able to engage in such a conversation unless it is a heated debate.
My grandmother is one of the most funniest person ever! We both crack jokes and we can both laugh without actually faking to laugh as her jokes are funny to me, and mine are funny to her :):brother: :sister:
:w:
I have a wonderful relationship with all of my aunts and my uncles on my mothers side alhamdulillah, and we are more like sisters in stead of neice & aunt......I love them.
But on my fathers side of the family? pssshhhttt.....they are money driven people...anyone who is not the boss (i.e. them) is an employee...whether it be their own children/neice/nephew/brother/sister.
Subhanallah.
It amazed me when I first saw it also.( I only recently got to really know them..only 2 years back)
But then.....................They are not Muslim. :(
It's saddening when my grandmother comes to the company, I work upstairs and she comes sometimes to put in a few hours, and the only time she will ever give me a ring, is to ask me about some business information..*sigh*.
Ah well...Du'a for them Insha'allah.
as salaamu aalykum,
you be thankful too,Quote:
be thankful about that.
i talk accounts with my grandma. 15 mins prfessional conversations.
I've never seen my grandparents... three are dead..and ones surviving!!...and she's in another country!! we only have short convos cause we don't really know eachother.it's the usual...hi, how are you!...blah de blah!! Allahul musta3aan! :-\
This is a kids thread anyways....not grandparents!!? :p

Jannah is such a cool name for daughters.. it's rare but i love it for some reason.
:sl:
they would only cry for a reason :D the trick is finding out what they are crying for when they cant talk and sort it out, and when they are older stuff their mouth with a tennis ball and all is fine...
