When I mean commercialise I don't mean 'let's make money'. No, make it commercial. Let there be nothing to it in other words. I guess it's too complicated to understand, never mind.

Personally, I'd rather wear some Firetrap and keep a beard. Much cooler than wearing some cheap old clothing printed in someones shed saying 'Muslim' on it or something.

No, I understand what you mean by commercial. You're refering to something which is just a trend that people do or wear because it's the "in" or "popular" thing to do, and peole have know idea why they are doing it or wearing it, they're just doing it to be popular too. But like I said before that can happen with anything, including a thobe or shalwar kameez or even a hijab, cause I know there are sisters out there that wear the hijab and they have no idea what its all about they just wear it cause they were told to.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "Firetrap" so you'll have to explain that one. The clothing that I'm selling isn't cheap at all they are the same quality of something you would buy at a regular store, and they certainly aren't printed in my shed or anything like that. You should visit www.spreadshirt.com to see how the shirts are actually made and the quality of them, especially before make such acusations against somebody else.

It is not permissible to buy or wear these T-shirts, and the one who wears them should be denounced, because they involve disrespect towards the name of Allaah, which is bound to be mistreated by being printed on these shirts, whether they are thrown in places where Allaah’s name should not be put, such as in bathrooms (especially when they get dirty and need washing) or are mistreated in other ways. If you and other Muslims refrain from buying these shirts, this will narrow the market for them, which will force the producers – if their aim is merely commercial – to stop printing them. And Allaah knows best.

I suppose a headband would be about the same as a t-shirt since your wearing it on your body and it is bound to end up in unappropriate places.

JazakAllah Brother, good post mashaAllah. Apart from not wearing such items of clothing for obvious reasons, I can't help thinking it is a bit like advertising yourself to be so Islamic.

Yeah you can find one at www.alhannah.com along with a bunch of other goods. I recomend this site personally, I bought a shalwar kameez from them and was very pleased.:brother:

Is it permissible to wear such a thing? I think it's wrong. Why on earth would you wanna walk down the street with it on? "All eyes on me I’m a Muslim and I want you all to know that I am". Is this not arrogant? I know I aint one to talk about wearing a "sunnah attire", however dress modestly and you're ok. People should like you for the content of your character, your actions, not some writing on a piece of cloth. At the end of the day Allah knows how good a muslim you are, trying to re-enforcing this to others don't mean jack all.
