    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Abu Hurairah RA said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say 'Whoever spends on a pair of things in the cause of Allah, he will be called from the gates of Paradise: O slave of Allah, this is good for you. Paradise had (several) gates. Whoever is one of the people of Salah, he will be called from the gate of prayer. Whoever is one of the people of Jihad, will be called from the gate of Jihad. Whoever is one of the people of charity will be called from the gate of charity. And whoever is one of the people of fasting will be called from the gate of Ar-Rayyan." Abu Bakr said: "Is there any need for anyone to be called from all of these gates? Will anyone be called from all of them, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes, and I hope that you will be among them."' (Sunan an-Nasa'i - Vol. 3, Book 23, Hadith 2441)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    2nd Jumada al-Awwal 1437 (11th February 2016)

    Narrated Ibn Mas'ud (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

A man kissed a woman (unlawfully) and then went to the Prophet (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and informed him. Allah revealed:

"And offer prayers perfectly At the two ends of the day And in some hours
of the night (i.e. the five compulsory prayers). Verily! good deeds remove
(annul) the evil deeds (small sins) (11.114)."

    The man asked Allah's
Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), "Is it for me?"

    He said, "It is for
    all my followers."

It is related by Abdullah bin Masood that the Apostle of God said: “The tears that fall from the eyes of a truthful Believer, out of the fear of the Lord, and, then, roll down his face, however little they are, even of the size of a fly [i.e., just one drop], shall prevent the Fire of Hell from [touching] his face.”– Ibn Majah

It is related by Abdullah bin Abbas that the Apostle of God said: “Even if a man possesses two fields and two forests full of worldly goods, he will like to have a third, and man’s belly will get filled up only with earth [i.e., his insatiable appetite for wealthwill end only in the grave], and God shows compassion to the bondsman who turns his face towards Him.”(Bukhari and Muslim)

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Sahl Ibne Sa’ad narrated that once a person (who, perhaps, came from the class of the rich and the distinguished) passed in front of the Prophetsallallahu alayhi wasallam. On seeing him the Prophetsallallahu alayhi wasallamasked one of those who were sitting with him at that time what he thought of him. He replied, “Sir, he is one of the most respectable men, such is his eminence that if he makes an offer of marriage to the daughter of any family, it will be accepted and she will be married to him, and if he makes a recommendation in any matter, it will be granted.” At this reply, the Prophetsallallahu alayhi wasallamkept quiet and did not say anything. After some time, another bondsman of the Lord passed by and the Prophetsallallahu alayhi wasallamasked the same person again, “What do you think of him?” He replied, “O Apostle of Allah! He is one of the weak and indigent Muslims. He is such a man that if he makes an offer of marriage anywhere, it will be rejected and if he makes a recommendation in any matter, it will be turned down and if he wants to say anything, it will not be heard.”The Prophetsallallahu alayhi wasallam, thereupon, said,“If people like the one who passed by earlier (are so numerous as to) fill the earth, this weak and poor bondsman is still better than (all of) them.”(Bukhari, Muslim)

    9th Jumada al-Awwal 1437 (18th February 2016)

    Narrated Qais (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Jarir said, "We were with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and he
looked at the moon--full-moon--and said, 'Certainly you will see your Lord
as you see this moon and you will have no trouble in seeing Him.

So if you can avoid missing (through sleep or business, etc.) a prayer before the
sun-rise (Fajr) and a prayer before sunset ('Asr), you must do so.' He then
    recited Allah's Statement:

And celebrate the praises Of your Lord before The rising of the sun And

    not miss them."

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik RA that he said: "While we were in the masjid on Friday and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was addressing the people, a man stood up and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the routes have been cut off, our wealth has been destroyed and prices have gone up. Pray to Allah (SWT) to give us rain.' So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) raised his hands in level with his face and said: 'O Allah, give us rain.' By Allah (SWT), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had not come down from the minbar before it started to pour with rain, and it rained from that day until the following Friday. Then a man stood up- I do not know if he was the same man who had asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to pray for rain for us or not- and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the routes have been cut off, and our wealth has been destroyed because there is too much water. Pray to Allah (SWT ) to stop the rain for us.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'O Allah, around us and not on us, rather on the mountains and places where trees grow.' By Allah, hardly had the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spoken these words than the clouds split apart (and vanished) until we could not see anything of them.'" Abu Hurayrah radhiyallahu anhu relates that the Apostle of Allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said:You should never be envious of an evil-doer (an infidel or a pervert) because of a blessing or prosperity. You do not know what suffering he is going to endure after death. At Allah’s place (i.e., in the Hereafter) there is a killer for him that will not die.The narrator, Abdullah ibne Abi Maryam who related it, on the authority of AbuÊHurayrah radhiyallahu anhu says, “By ‘killer’, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam meant the Fire of Hell (ie. the evil-doer is going to live in Hell forever. To be envious of such a man is rank foolishness and ignorance).”(Baghawi)

It is mentioned in a hadith that Nabi (sallalaahu alayhi wassallam) said, ” When a female child is born, Allah Ta’ala sends His angels to that house. They come to the dwellers of the house and pray that peace may be upon them, The angels then cover the newly born girl in the shadow of their wings and caressing the head of the baby with their hands they say that, this is a weak and frail person, whoever will bear the responsibility of cherishing her will go on having the blessing of Allah Ta’ala as long as that person remains alive.” ( Al-Mojam al – Saghir li Tabrani).

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    10th Jumada al-Awwal 1437 (19th February 2016)

    Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Angels come to you in
succession by night and day and all of them get together at the time of the
Fajr and 'Asr prayers. Those who have passed the night with you (or stayed
with you) ascend (to the Heaven) and Allah asks them, though He knows
everything about you, well, "In what state did you leave my slaves?" The
angels reply: "When we left them they were praying and when we reached
    them, they were praying."
