Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:
I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--
(1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),
(2) to follow funeral processions,
(3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),
(4) to return greetings,
(5) to help the oppressed,
(6) to accept invitations,
(7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Ayyub (May Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “Direct me to a deed which draws me near to Paradise and takes me away from the Fire (of Hell).” Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: “You worship Allah and never associate anything with Him, establish prayer, and pay Zakat, and do good to your kin. When he turned his back, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) remarked: If he adheres to what he has been ordered to do, he would enter Paradise.”

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (RA): that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: There are four things that whoever has them, then he is a hypocrite, and whoever has one attribute from among them, then he has an attribute of hypocrisy, until he leaves it: Whoever lies whenever he speaks, he does not fulfill whenever he promises, he is vulgar whenever he argues, and whenever he makes an agreement he proves treacherous."

`Abd Allah bin al-Zubair (RA) said on the authority of the father: I asked al-Zubair (RA): What prevents you from narrating traditions from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as his Companions narrate from him? He said: By Allah I was very close to him. But I heard him (peace be upon him) say: He who lies about me deliberately will certainly come to his abode in Hell.
