    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Hadhrat Ali (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who visits a sick person in the morning, seventy thousand angels invoke Allah Ta’ala’s mercy for him until the evening, and the one who visits a sick person in the evening, seventy thousand angels invoke Allah Ta’ala’s mercy for him until the morning, and he will receive a garden in Paradise.

Hakim ibn Hizam narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said: “The upper hand is better than the lower hand, (i.e., he who gives charity is better than him who takes it)… And whoever abstains from asking others for some financial help, Allah will give him and save him from asking others, Allah will make him self-sufficient” (Bukhari, Vol. 2, Hadith 508)

Narrated Sahl (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) once entered the graveyard and recited the following Du’aa:

السلام عليكم دار قوم مؤمنين وإنا إن شاء الله بكم لاحقون

“O (inmates of) the resting abode of the believers, may peace descend upon you from the side of Allah Ta’ala, Insha Allah soon we will be joining you.”

Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then said: “I wish I had met our brothers.” The Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) enquired: “Are we not your brothers, O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)?” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “You are (not only my brothers), instead you are my companions (as well). My brothers are those who have not yet come in the world (i.e. they will still be born and appear in the world after my demise), and I will be theirfarat(i.e. the one who will precede them to their abode of the hereafter in order to arrange for their comfort), and I will meet them at the haudh of Kauthar. (where they will have the honour of being served water by Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).” The Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) further enquired: “How will you recognize those of your followers who come after you (at the Haudh of Kauthar)?” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said (explaining to the Sahaabah through an example): “If a person owns black horses whose foreheads and feet are white and they are mixed with completely black horses, will he not recognize his own horses from among them?” The Sahaabah (Radhiallahu Anhum) replied: “Certainly he will recognize them, O Rasulullah (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam).” Nabi (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “They (my followers) will come on the day of Qiyaamah with their foreheads and limbs illuminated with noor on account of their wudhu and I will precede them (in going to the aakhirat) and serve them water at the haudh of Kauthar.”

Narrated Samura bin Jundab (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "This night I dreamt that
two men came and took me to a Holy land whence we proceeded on till we
reached a river of blood, where a man was standing, and on its bank was
standing another man with stones in his hands.

The man in the middle of the
river tried to come out, but the other threw a stone in his mouth and
forced him to go back to his original place. So, whenever he tried to come
out, the other man would throw a stone in his mouth and force him to go
    back to his former place.

I asked, 'Who is this?' I was told, 'The person
in the river was a Riba-eater."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk, has been given to him by Allah."

Narrated `Aisha (RA): (the wife of the Prophet) Hamza bin `Amr Al-Aslami (RA) asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), "Should I fast while traveling?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "You may fast if you wish, and you may not fast if you wish."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

It is reported from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “The best of fasts after the month of Ramadhaan is the fast of the month of Allah, the month of Muharram, and the best of Salaahs after the Faraaidh(and the sunnats that are performed with it)is the Tahajjud Salaah.”
