    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

As-Sa'ib b. Yazid reported (RA): My mother's sister took me to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and said: Allah's Messenger, here is the son of my sister and he is ailing. He touched my head and invoked blessings upon me. He then performed ablution and I drank the water left from his ablution; then I stood behind him and I saw the seal between his shoulders.

Once a man went to the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and requested him to bear witness that he had given his child a gift of an orchard. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked him, “Do you have another child?” The man said, “Yes.” The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked, “Have you given him an equal gift?” “No,” replied the man. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said, “I do not bear witness to an injustice.” [Sahih Muslim]

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

A man asked the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), "O Allah's Apostle!
What kind of charity is the best?"

He replied. "To give in charity when you
are healthy and greedy hoping to be wealthy and afraid of becoming poor.
Don't delay giving in charity till the time when you are on the death bed
when you say, 'Give so much to so-and-so and so much to so-and so,' and at
that time the property is not yours but it belongs to so-and-so (i.e. your
    inheritors)."

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has divided your character between you just as He has divided your provision between you. Verily, Allah the Exalted gives the world to those He loves and to those He does not love, but He only gives the religion to those He loves. Whoever is given the religion, then Allah has loved him. By the one in whose hand is my soul, a servant will not submit until he submits his heart and his tongue. None of you has faith until his neighbor is safe from his evil.” They said, “What is its evil, O Prophet of Allah?” The Prophet said, “His tyranny and oppression.A servant cannot earn wealth from what is forbidden and spend it and receive blessings in it. He cannot give in charity from it and have it be accepted. He cannot leave it behind his back (i.e. for his children/businesses etc) except that it increases him in the Hellfire. Verily, Allah the Exalted does not expiate an evil deed with an evil deed. Rather, He expiates an evil deed with a good deed. Verily, a wicked deed cannot expiate a wicked deed.”

Ibn `Umar (r.a) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (sallalahu `alayhi wa sallam) said :
The greatest of sins near Allah are of:
1)A man who marries a girl and after having his desire fulfiled (from her) divorces her and (along with that ) deprives her of her mahr
    2) A man who employs someone to have his work done and does not pay him his wages
    3) A man who kills an animal or an insect without having any dire need for it

Abu Qatadah (RA) said: "They told the Prophet (peace be upon him) that they had slept and missed the prayer. “On the authority of Abu al-Abbaas Abdullah ibn Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) who said: One day I was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he said to me, “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]. Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, ask Allah. If you seek help, seek help in Allah. Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you except with that which Allah has already recorded for you. If they gather to harm you by something, they would not be able to harm you by anything except what Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”

    Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

    The following Verse:--

"If a guardian is well-off, let him claim no remuneration (i.e. wages), but
if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable." (4.6)
was revealed in connection with the guardian of an orphan, and it means
that if he is poor he can have for himself (from the orphan's wealth) what
is just and reasonable according to the orphan's share of the inheritance.

Narrated Abu Wail (RA): `Abdullah (RA) used to give a religious talk to the people on every Thursday. Once a man said, "O Aba `Abdur-Rahman! (By Allah) I wish if you could preach us daily." He replied, "The only thing which prevents me from doing so, is that I hate to bore you, and no doubt I take care of you in preaching by selecting a suitable time just as the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to do with us, for fear of making us bored."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Hazrat Anas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The most merciful of my ummah towards my ummah is Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), and the most staunch in (upholding) the command of Allah Ta‘ala is Hazrat ‘Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), and the most true in hayaa is Hazrat ‘Uthmaan bin ‘Affaan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), and the most knowledgeable regarding halaal and haraam is Hazrat Mu‘aaz bin Jabal (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), and the most knowledgeable regarding the masaa’il of inheritance is Hazrat Zaid bin Thaabit (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), and the most knowledgeable regarding the recitation of the Qur’aan Majeed is Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka‘b (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), and every Ummah has a trustee, and the trustee of this ummah is Hazrat Abu ‘Ubaidah bin Jarraah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu).

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): A black man or a black woman used to sweep the mosque and he or she died. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked about her (or him). He was told that she (or he) had died. He said, "Why did you not inform me? Show me his grave (or her grave)." So he went to her (his) grave and offered her (his) funeral prayer."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

It was narrated from Hakim bin Mu'awiyah (RA) that his paternal uncle Mikhmar bin Mu'awiyah (RA) said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Do not believe in omens, and good fortune is only to be found in three things: A woman, a horse and a house."'
