    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him): I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.”

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Abu Mas'ud (RA) narrated that: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "The one who recites most of the Book of Allah is to lead the people (in prayers). If they are equal in recitation, then the most knowledgeable in the Sunnah among them. If they are equal regarding the Sunnah, then the earliest of them to emigrate. If they are equal in their emigration, then the eldest among them. And a man is not to be led in prayer in the place of his authority, and his spot of esteem in his home is not to be sat on without his permission."

It was narrated from Aishah (RA) that: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Marriage is part of my sunnah, and whoever does not follow my sunnah has nothing to do with me. Get married, for I will boast of your great numbers before the nations. Whoever has the means, let him get married, and whoever does not, then he should fast for it will diminish his desire.”

Bakkar ibn 'Abdu'l-'Aziz (RA) reported from his grandfather that the Prophet (peace be upon him), said, "Allah will defer whatever wrong actions He wills until the Day of Rising except for tyrannical behavior, disobeying parents or cutting off relatives. He will punish the one who commits those things in this world before he dies."

Narrated Abu Musa (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) entered a garden and told me to guard its gate. Then a man came and asked permission to enter. The Prophet (peace be upon him), said, "Permit him and give him the good news that he will enter Paradise." Behold! It was Abu Bakr (RA). Then `Umar (RA) came, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Admit him and give him the good news that he will enter Paradise." Then `Uthman (RA) came and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Admit him and give him the good news that he will enter Paradise.

Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) once entered the graveyard and recited the following Du’aa:

“O (inmates of) the resting abode of the believers, may peace descend upon you from the side of Allah Ta’ala, Insha Allah soon we will be joining you.”

Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then said: “I wish I had met our brothers.” The Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) enquired: “Are we not your brothers, O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)?” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “You are my companions (you have a greater position than the rest of the ummah. You are my brothers and are also blessed with my companionship). My brothers are those who have not yet come in the world (i.e. they will still be born and appear in the world after my demise). The Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) further enquired: “O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), how will you recognize those of your followers who come after you?” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “If a person owns black horses whose foreheads and feet are white and they are mixed with completely black horses, will he not recognize his own horses from among them?” The Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu Anhum) replied: “Certainly he will recognize them, O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “They (my followers) will come on the day of Qiyaamah with their foreheads and limbs illuminated with special noor on account of them performing wudhu for salaah (and it is through this sign that I will recognize them from others) and I will precede them (in reaching the Hereafter) and I will serve them water at the haudh of Kauthar (when they meet me on the day of Qiyaamah).”

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) addressed Asma (radiyallahu ‘anha) and said,

“Continue spending (in the path of Allah Ta’ala) and do not count and hoard, or else Allah Ta’ala will count and give you.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 1433 and 2591, Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1029)
