    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

عن ابن عمر رضى الله عنهما قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: من توضأ على طهر كتب الله له عشر حسنات.

    الترغيب والترهيب 1/223

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who performs (a fresh) wudhu upon wudhu (i.e. while being in the state of wudhu), Allah Ta’ala writes for him ten good deeds.”

Note: Performing a fresh wudhu upon wudhu will be permissible provided that one had performed salaah with the previous wudhu or one had carried out an ibaadat which wudhu is required for it (e.g. sajdah tilaawat).

Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him, his family and companions, said:

“Amazing is the affair of the believer. This is because there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone other than the believer.

When he is in a state of happiness, he is thankful to Allah, and within that there is good for him, and if he is harmed, then he keeps to being patient and thus there is good for him in that.”

An-Nawas bin Sama'an (RA) narrated that a man came asking the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about righteousness and sin. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Righteouness is good behaviour, and sin is what fluctuates in your chest, and you would hate that the people discovered it about you."

Narrated 'Abdullâh bin 'Umar رضى الله عنهما : Allâh's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, When anyone of you dies, he is shown his place both in the morning and in the afternoon. Sayyiduna Ali (RA) reports that once Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) asked the Sahabah (RA),

"What is the most remarkable quality a women could possess? Sahabah (RA) remained silent, Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali (RA) quietly left the gathering and went home, where he posed the question to Fatima (RAH). A du’a which covers all the du’as of Rasullullah SAWS
An all-encompassing du’a which covers all the du’as of Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)’s twenty-three year lifespan [of Prophethood]:

Hadhrat Abu Umamah (RA) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) made a lot of du’as, but a few of us could not remember all of them.
We complained of this to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), who said:

“Should I not teach you such a du’a that will include all those du’as? Say,

Oh Allah, I ask of you all the goodness which Muhammad (SAWS) asked of, and I seek refuge in all the things from which Muhammad (SAWS) has sought refuge from. Only You are capable of helping us and your function is only to convey the message of the truth. There is no strength to refrain from sins, but with the protection of Allah, and there is no power to accomplish good deeds, but with the help of Allah.”
