    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Hadith No: 953
    Narrated/Authority of Hasan Al-Urani

'Mention was made in the presence of Ibn Abbas about what severs the prayer. They mentioned a dog, a donkey and a woman. He said: 'What do you say about kids (young goats)? The Messenger of Allah (saw) was performing prayer one day, when a kid came and wanted to pass in front of him. The Messenger of Allah (saw) preceded it toward the Qiblah. Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "He who has, in his heart, an ant's weight of arrogance will not enter Jannah." Someone said: "A man likes to wear beautiful clothes and shoes?" Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Allah is Beautiful, He loves beauty. Arrogance means ridiculing and rejecting the Truth and despising people."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Ibn `Abbas (RA): When the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to Medina, he found (the Jews) fasting on the day of 'Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram). They used to say: "This is a great day on which Allah saved Moses and drowned the folk of Pharaoh. Moses observed the fast on this day, as a sign of gratitude to Allah." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I am closer to Moses than they." So, he observed the fast (on that day) and ordered the Muslims to fast on it.

Narrated Abu Huraira (May Allah be pleased with him): I said: “O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?” Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: “O Abu Huraira! I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths.
