    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) proceeded on journey, he would say: O Allah, Thou art the Companion in the journey, and the One Who looks after the family; O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the difficulty of travelling, finding harm when I return, and unhappiness in what I see coming to my family and property. O Allah, make the length of his journey short for us, and the journey easy for us.

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! What is back-biting? He replied: It is saying something about your brother which he would dislike. He was asked again: Tell me how the matter stands if what I say about my brother is true? He replied: If what you say of him is true, you have slandered him, and if what you say of him is not true, you have reviled him.

Abu Mas'ud (RA) narrated that: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "The one who recites most of the Book of Allah is to lead the people (in prayers). If they are equal in recitation, then the most knowledgeable in the Sunnah among them. If they are equal regarding the Sunnah, then the earliest of them to emigrate. If they are equal in their emigration, then the eldest among them. And a man is not to be led in prayer in the place of his authority, and his spot of esteem in his home is not to be sat on without his permission."

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

‘There are seven people whom the Creator will neither look at on the Day of Qiyamah nor will He purify them, and He will make them enter Jahannam, the homosexual and his partner, the one who masturbates, the one who engages in bestiality, the one who has anal intercourse with a woman, a man who marries both a woman and her daughter, the one who fornicates with his neighbour’s wife and the one who hurts his neighbour to such a degree that he curses him.’

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

The Hadith that states that if a person prays Fajr and recites the following dhikr one hundred times before bending his legs, he would be the best man to offer good deeds on earth that day, except those who did the same as he did or more than he did. The dhikr is

“لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد يحيي ويميت بيده الخير وهو على كل شيء قدير”

La ilaha illalahu wahdahu la sharika lahu lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuh yi wa yumitu biyadihil khayru wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadir

Is this Hadith authentic or not?

    Answer

The Hadith in question is recorded in Al Mu’jamul Awsat of Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) and other Hadith collections.

    (Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 7200)

Hafiz Mundhiri and Hafiz Haythami (rahimahumallah) have authenticated the narration.

(Targhib, vol. 1 pg. 306 and Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 10 pg. 108. Also see Al Hisnul Hasin, pg. 84)
