    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked about that for which people are admitted into Paradise the most, so he said: "Taqwa of Allah, and good character." And he was asked about that for which people are admitted into the Fire the most, and he said: "The mouth and the private parts."

Narrated Abu Umamah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Hudhaifa (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to us, "Honesty descended from the Heavens and settled in the roots of the hearts of men (faithful believers), and then the Qur'an was revealed and the people read the Qur'an, (and learnt it from it) and also learnt it from the Sunna." Both Qur'an and Sunna strengthened their (the faithful believers') honesty.

Narrated Aisha (RA), Ummul Mu'minin: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to count the days in Sha'ban in a manner he did not count any other month; then he fasted when he sighted the new moon of Ramadan; but if the weather was cloudy he counted thirty days and then fasted.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Sahl (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated `Abdullah (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) fasted for days continuously; the people also did the same but it was difficult for them. So, the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade them (to fast continuously for more than one day). They said, "But you fast without break (no food was taken in the evening or in the morning)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "I am not like you, for I am provided with food and drink (by Allah).”

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that: the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and stands (in the night prayer) for it out of faith and seeking a reward (from Allah), he will be forgiven what preceded of his sins. Whoever stands (in the night prayer) on the Night of Al-Qadr out of faith and seeking a reward (from Allah), he will be forgiven what preceded of his sins."
