    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Humran, the freed slave of ‘Uthman b. ‘Affan, reported on the authority of ‘Uthman b. ‘Affan that he heard Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) say: He who performed ablution for prayer and performed it properly and then went (to observe) obligatory prayer and offered it along with people or with the congregation or in the mosque, Allah would pardon his sins. Re: Hadeeth of the day

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said:
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: Fasting is Mine and it is I who give reward for it. [A man] gives up his sexual passion, his food and his drink for my sake. Fasting is like a shield, and he who fasts has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. The change in the breath of the mouth of him who fasts is better in Allah’s estimation than the smell of musk. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa’i and Ibn Majah). (Hadith Qudsi 10)

Abbad b. Tamim Mazini heard his uncle, who was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), as saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out one day in order to pray for rain. He turned his back towards people, supplicated before Allah, facing towards Qibla, and turned his mantle round and then observed two rak’ahs of prayer. (Sahih Muslim Book 4, Hadith 1950)

    27th Dhul Hijjah 1436 (10th October 2015)

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Buhaina (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Once Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) led us in prayer, and
after finishing the first two Rakat, got up (instead of sitting for
At-Tahiyyat) and then carried on with the prayer. When he had finished his
prayer, the people were waiting for him to say Taslim, but before saying
Tasiim, he said Takbir and prostrated; then he raised his head, and saying
Takbir, he prostrated (SAHU) and then raised his head and finished his
    prayer with Taslim.

The Prophet said,"Your actions alone will not save any of you."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless Allah were to envelop me in His Mercy. Be fire, steadfast and balanced, and journey to Allah in the beginning of the day, the end of day and a portion of the latter part of the night. Moderation, moderation! Through this will you attain your goal!" (Bukhari)

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When you pass by the meadows of Paradise, then graze as you like.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, what are the meadows of Paradise?” The Prophet said, “The mosques.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is its grazing?” The Prophet said, “To declare the glory of Allah, the praise of Allah, the greatness of Allah, and that there is no God but Allah.”

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Narrated Al-Ahnaf bin Qais (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I went to help that man (i.e., 'Ali), and on the way I met Abu Bakr who
asked me, "Where are you going?" I replied, "I am going to help that man."
He said, "Go back, for I heard Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) saying, 'If two Muslims meet each other with their swords then
(both) the killer and the killed one are in the (Hell) Fire.' I said, 'O
Allah's Apostle! It is alright for the killer, but what about the killed
one?' He said, 'The killed one was eager to kill his opponent.' "
