    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    Narrated Abu Qatada (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "A good dream is
from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So if anyone of you sees (in a
dream) something he dislikes, when he gets up he should blow thrice (on his
left side) and seek refuge with Allah from its evil for then it will not
    harm him."

Sayyiduna Wabisah ibn Ma’bad (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said: “I came close to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) until my knees touched his. He asked: ‘O Wabisah, should I inform you of what you came to ask or will you ask?’ I replied: ‘O Messenger of Allah, inform me.’ He said: ‘You came to ask me about righteousness and sin.’ I replied: ‘Yes.’ He combined three of his fingers and started to poke me with them in my chest and said, ‘O Wabisah, ask your heart, ask yourself.’ [He repeated it three times and then said:] ‘Righteousness is that which the heart feels at ease with and the soul is content with and sin is that which troubles the heart and causes doubts in the chest, even if people pass fatwa (of permissibility) for you and give you verdicts.” (Musnad Ahmad, vol. 4 pg. 228, Targhib, vol. 2 pg. 557 and Al Adhkar, Hadith: 1229. Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    22nd Rajab 1438 (19th April 2017)

    Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

Some people asked Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) about
fore-tellers. He said. "They are nothing" They said, "O Allah's Apostle!
Sometimes they tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's
Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A Jinn snatches that true
word and pours it into the ear of his friend (the fore-teller) (as one puts
something into a bottle). The foreteller then mixes that word with one
    hundred lies."

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The example of a good companion and a bad companion is that of someone who is selling musk and the bellows of the blacksmith. The person selling musk will either give you musk, or you will purchase it from him or at least get a pleasant odour while the bellows of the blacksmith either burn your clothes or you will get an unpleasant odour”

    29th Rajab 1438 (26th April 2017)

    Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (or 'Abul Qasim) (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "While a
man was walking, clad in a two-piece garment and proud of himself with his
hair well-combed, Allah suddenly made him sink into the earth and he will
go on sinking into it till the Day of Resurrection."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Aisha said, "A woman from Bani Makhzumiya committed a theft and the people said, 'Who can intercede with the Prophet (peace be upon him) for her?' So nobody dared speak to him (i.e. the Prophet) but Usama bin Zaid spoke to him. The Prophet said, 'If a reputable man amongst the children of Bani Israel committed a theft, they used to forgive him, but if a poor man committed a theft, they would cut his hand. But I would cut even the hand of Fatima (i.e. the daughter of the Prophet) if she committed a theft."

    (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 5, Book 62, Hadith 81)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    1st Sha'ban 1438 (27th April 2017)

Narrated 'Uqba bin 'Amir (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

A silken Farruj was presented to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa

Sallam) and he put it on and offered the prayer in it. When he finished the

prayer, he took it off violently as if he disliked it and said, "This

(garment) does not befit those who fear Allah!"
