    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

    As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

    Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

    I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: The similitude of mine and that of my Umma is that of a person who lit fire and there began to fall into it insects and moths. And I am there to hold you back, but you plunge into it.

    It was narrated from Umm Salamah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “You refer your disputes to me and I am only human. Perhaps some of you may be more eloquent in presenting your case than others, so I rule in your favor because of what I hear from you. If I pass a judgement in favor of one of you that detracts from his brother's rights, then he should not take it, because it is a piece of fire that is given to him which he will bring forth on the Day Resurrection.”

    The wording of this hadeeth is not correct and is misleading. The correct version is as follows:

    Hammam b. Munabbih reported: Abu Huraira reported us some ahadith from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) amongst many, (and) one is this that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: A person lit fire and when the atmosphere was aglow, moths and insects began to fall into the fire, but I am there to hold them back, but they are plunging into it despite my efforts, and he further added: That is your example and mine. looks like 2 are same - the first one is the shorter version but it did not say fire was lit by the Prophet pbuh .so , how it is misleading ? And Allah knows Best.

    "The Prophet said: 'If my Ummah bears fifteen traits, tribulation will befall it.' Someone asked, 'What are they, O Messenger of Allah?' He said,

    (1) 'When any gain is shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor;
    (2) when a trust becomes a means of making a profit;
    (3) when paying Zakat becomes a burden;
    (4) when a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother;
    (5) and treats his friend kindly whilst shunning his father;
    (6) when voices are raised in the mosques;
    (7) when the leader of a people is the worst of them;
    (8) when people treat a man with respect because they fear some evil he may do;
    (9) when much wine is drunk;
    (10) when men wear silk;
    (11) when female singers and
    (12) musical instruments become popular;

    (13) when the last ones of this Ummah (e.g shia'as , munkarul hadeeth, etc) curse the first ones - then let them expect a red wind, or the earth to swallow them, or to be transformed into animals.'"

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    The above hadeeth is changed a lot as in the end, "and" is replaced by "or" between the names of the wraths of Allah and thus a very serious warning of many wraths coming after one another is changed into a light warning of one wrath only. This translation of the Hadeeth is found on the internet. To give the better translation, I took it again from the Ma’araful-Quraan at tafheem.net. So the true Hadeeth is as follows:

    It has been reported from Abu Hurairah rAa that the Holy Prophet salla Allaho alaihi wa sallam said:

    “when spoils are taken as personal property and trust property as spoils, and zakaah as penalty, and religious learning is acquired for worldly objectives, and when man starts obeying his wife and disobeying his mother, and keeps his friend near and his father far, and when voices rise in masajid, and the chief of a tribe becomes its faasiq (the worst sinner ), and when the chief of a people becomes their lowest of the low, and when wicked people are respected out of fear of them, and when singing girls and musical instruments appear all over, and when wines are consumed, and when the later of this Ummah start cursing the former--- then at that time, you wait for a red wind (storm), and earthquake, and the sinking of the earth, and the changing of figures and faces (becoming apes etc.), and stones (stony wrath), and the signs will follow each other one after the other like a broken necklace with its beads scattered one after the other.

    (Reported by Tirmidhi).

    I heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "On the Day of
    Resurrection I will intercede and say, 'O my Lord! Admit into Paradise
    (even) those who have faith equal to a mustard seed in their hearts.' Such

    half the ashes of his burnt body in the earth and the other half in the
    sea, for by Allah, if Allah should get ahold of him, He would inflict such
    punishment on him as He would not inflict on anybody among the people. But
    Allah ordered the sea to collect what was in it (of his ashes) and
    similarly ordered the earth to collect what was in it (of his ashes). Then
    Allah said (to the recreated man), 'Why did you do so?' The man replied,
    'For being afraid of You, and You know it (very well).' So Allah forgave
    him."

    This hadeeth goes against all other texts of the Holy Quraan and ahaadeeth. It is also misleading. Please avoid any hadeeth which goes against the two sources of Islam.

    People do such things (like burning to ashes after death) so that they cannot be resurrected. so they don't believe in the ability of Allah to give life to ashes.

    So that man had no belief and no good deed. There are very clear ahaadeeth which inform us that without regular obligatory salah, a person with the faith of Tawheed, will not be forgiven. For e.g. one hadeeth says: "Benal abd wal kufar salah" (Between the servant and unbelief is salah). (Allah knows the best). This hadeeth clearly says that if salah is removed then the abd (the servant) will be a kaafir. And it is very clear from the Holy Quraan and Hadeeth that a kaafir shall never get out of Hell.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

    Regarding the explanation of the Verse:-- '(O Muhammad!) Neither say your
    prayer aloud, nor say it in a low tone.' (17.110)

    This Verse was revealed while Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
    Sallam) was hiding himself at Makkah. At that time, when he led his
    companions in prayer, he used to raise his voice while reciting the Qur'an;
    and if the pagans heard him, they would abuse the Qur'an, its Revealer, and
    the one who brought it.

    So Allah said to His Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam): "Neither say
    your prayer aloud. i.e., your recitation (of Qur'an) lest the pagans should
    hear (it) and abuse the Quran," nor say it in a low tone, "lest your voice
    should fail to reach your companions, but follow a way between." (17.110)

    بسم الله الرحمن الحيم

    Assalaamo alaykum

    Sister, show this hadeeth Hadeeth of the day to any scholar of the Holy Quraan and Sunnah and see what his / her response is. From a scholar you must mean a Mo’min Muslim learned in Quraan and Hadeeth. None of the scholars will accept this hadeeth correct because it is totally against these two BASIC sources of Islam. I will give you a few examples:

    Surah Younus verses 90---92:

    90. And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims."

    91. Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters?

    92. So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless.
    ************************************************** ************************************************** *********************************************

    The above verses prove that the eemaan of Fir'on (Pharaoh) was not accepted at the time of his death.

    Surah Al-Mo’min verse 85 (translation):

    (40:85) But their believing after they had seen Our chastisement did not avail them. That has been Allah's Way concerning His servants.
    113 And the unbelievers courted utter loss, then and there.

    Explanatory note 85:

    113. “Allah’s established way”: the Law that repentance and faith are beneficial only till the time man is not seized by the torment of Allah or death. Believing or repenting after the torment has arrived or the signs of death have appeared, is not acceptable to Allah.
    ************************************************** ************************************************** **************************************

    According to these verses, tawbah and eemaan are not accepted at the time when a person becomes certain of his/her death.
    According to ahaadeeth, tawbah and eemaan are not accepted at two times:

    1. When a person becomes sure of his/her death,

    2. When the Sun will rise from the West.

    Moreover, the Holy Quraan is full of such statements about the sinners and unbelievers that on the Day of Judgment, they will say a lot of good things to rescue themselves from the punishment but nothing shall be accepted. So this life in this world is the only chance to believe, repent and follow the prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) to protect one’s self from the torment of Hell. The following of the prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) includes two things:

    1. To follow the Holy Qur’aan,

    2. To follow His Sunnah /hadeeth.

    I am sad to see that you have no understanding of the Holy Quraan. You have put a great responsibility on your shoulders that you are presenting the knowledge of Hadeeth which is not a light thing. For this action and purpose you must be acquainted with the knowledge of the Holy Quraan.

    My sincere opinion to you is that you must start understanding the Holy Quraan right now. It is easy for admonition. You should also remember that none of the scholars descended from heaven, all are human beings like you and me. But they did hard work and became learned in the Holy Quraan and the Sunnah. So you also must start learning the two.
