    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Narrated Az-Zuhri (RA): From Salim, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you eats, then let him eat with his right hand, and let him drink with his right hand, for indeed Ash-Shaitan eats with his left hand, and he drinks with his left hand."

Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: Telling of truth is a virtue and virtue leads to Paradise and the servant who endeavors to tell the truth is recorded as truthful, and lie is obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell-Fire, and the servant who endeavors to tell a lie is recorded as a liar. Ibn Abu Shaiba reported this from Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him).

Thawban, the freed slave of Allah's Messenger, narrated that: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "When Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) wanted to turn from his Salat, he would seek forgiveness from Allah three times, then say: (Allahumma Antas-Salam, wa minkas-salam, tabarakta ya dhal-jalali wal-Ikram) 'O Allah! Narrated Abu Burda's (RA) father: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said "Three persons will have a double reward: 1. A Person from the people of the scriptures who believed in his prophet (Jesus or Moses) and then believed in the Prophet (peace be upon him) Muhammad (i .e. has embraced Islam). 2. A slave who discharges his duties to Allah and his master. 3. A master of a woman-slave who teaches her good manners and educates her in the best possible way (the religion) and manumits her and then marries her."

I came to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) with some men from my
tribe and stayed with him for twenty nights. He was kind and merciful to
us. When he realized our longing for our families, he said to us, "Go back
and stay with your families and teach them the religion, and offer the
prayer and one of you should pronounce the Adhan for the prayer when its
time is due and the oldest one amongst you should lead the prayer."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Mutarrif reported that his father said, "I went in the delegation of the Banu 'Amir to the Prophet (peace be upon him). They said, 'You are our master.' He said, 'The Master is Allah.' They said, 'The best of us in excellence and the greatest of us in generosity.' He said, 'Say what you like, but do not let Shaytan provoke you.'"

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    27th Rabi al-Awwal 1439 (15th December 2017)

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatada (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

My father said, "While we were praying with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi
Wa Sallam) he heard the noise of some people. After the prayer he said,
'What is the matter?' They replied 'We were hurrying for the prayer.'

He said, 'Do not make haste for the prayer, and whenever you come for the
prayer, you should come with calmness, and pray whatever you get (with the
people) and complete the rest which you have missed.' "
