    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

'Abdullah bin Salam (May Allah be Pleased with Him) said: “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) arrived- meaning in Al-Madinah – the people came out to meet him. It was said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had arrived, so I went among the people to get a look at him. When I gazed upon the face of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I knew that this face was not the face of a liar. The first thing that he spoke about was that he said: “O you people! Spread the Salam, feed (others), and perform Salat while the people are sleeping; you will enter Paradise with (the greeting of) Salam.”

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    22nd Rabi al-Thani 1439 (9th January 2018)

    Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Some poor people came to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and
said, "The wealthy people will get higher grades and will have permanent
enjoyment and they pray like us and fast as we do. They have more money by
which they perform the Hajj, and 'Umra; fight and struggle in Allah's Cause
    and give in charity."

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said,
"Shall I not tell you a thing upon which if you acted you would catch up
with those who have surpassed you? Nobody would overtake you and you would
be better than the people amongst whom you live except those who would do
    the same.

Say "Sub-han-al-lah", "Alhamdu-lillah" and "Allahu Akbar" thirty
three times each after every (compulsory) prayer."

    We differed and some of
us said that we should say, "Subhan-al-lah" thirty three times and "Alhamdu
lillah" thirty three times and "Allahu Akbar" thirty four times.

    I went to
the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) who said, "Say, "Subhan-al-lah"
and "Alhamdu lillah" and "Allahu Akbar" all together for thirty three
    times."

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:“Listen, have you heard that after me there will be [oppressive and corrupt] leaders. Whoever enters upon them and condones their lies, supports their oppression, then he is not from me and I am not from him, and he shall not drink from the pond [of Kawthar]. Whoever does not enter upon them, nor does he assist in their oppression, nor condones their lies, then he is from me, and I am from him and he shall drink from the pond [of Kawthar].” (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2259, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 279)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    24th Rabi al-Thani 1439 (11th January 2018)

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Once the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) delayed the 'Isha' prayer
until midnight and then came to us. Having prayed he faced us and said,

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated 'Aisha (RA): Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) once advised the Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum):“You are on your way to meet your brothers. Don a good dress and mend your conveyance so that you appear distinct among people as a beauty spot [on a body]. Allah Ta’ala does not like indecency in manner and conduct”.....(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 4086, Musnad Ahmad, vol. 4 pg. 180, Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 19873 and Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 4 pg. 183)

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose Hand is my life! You will not enter Jannah until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I inform you of something which, if you do, you will love one another? Promote greetings amongst yourselves."

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) once stood up, praised Allah and said:“Allah Ta’ala advises you to be good to women, Allah Ta’ala advises you to be good to women for they are your mothers, daughters and aunts. A man from the Ahlul Kitab would marry a [poor] woman [who did not even own something as meagre as a thread/cotton] yet they do not separate/become undesirous of each other [until death do them apart].(Refer: Faydul Qadir, Hadith: 1947)

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:“When one of you looks at someone who is better than him in wealth and physique, then he should look at one who is less well off than him”(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 6490, Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2963)

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated 'Abdullah (RA): "A Jew came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Muhammad (peace be upon him)! Allah will seize the heavens upon a finger, the mountains upon a finger, the earths upon a finger, and the rest of creation upon a finger. Then He says: 'I am the King.'" He said: 'So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) laughed until his molars were visible. He said: "They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him (39:67)."

    (Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Book 47, Hadith 3546)
