    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Allah the Exalted will say on the Day of Resurrection: O son of Adam, I was sick but you did not visit me. He will say: O my Lord, how can I visit you when you are the Lord of the worlds? Allah will say: Did you not know that my servant was sick and you did not visit him, and had you visited him you would have found me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food but you did not feed me. He will say: My Lord, how can I feed you when you are the Lord of the worlds? Allah will say: Did you not know that my servant asked you for food but you did not feed him, and had you fed him you would have found me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for drink but you did not provide for me. He will say: My Lord, how can I give you drink when you are the Lord of the worlds? Allah will say: My servant asked you for a drink but you did not provide for him, and had you given it to him you would have found me with him.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

While the Prophet (ﷺ) was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, "When would the Hour (Doomsday) take place?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) continued his talk, so some people said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had not heard it. When the Prophet (ﷺ) finished his speech, he said, "Where is the questioner, who inquired about the Hour (Doomsday)?" The Bedouin said, "I am here, O Allah's Apostle ." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday)." The Bedouin said, "How will that be lost?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)"

Narrated Aisha (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Such a person as recites the Qur'an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Qur'an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah said: Sons of Adam inveigh against [the vicissitudes of] Time, and I am Time, in My hand is the night and the day (1). (1) As the Almighty is the Ordainer of all things, to inveigh against misfortunes that are part of Time is tantamount to inveighing against Him.

Narrated 'Aisha (RA): Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.

Sayyiduna Nu’man ibn Bashir (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said upon the mimbar:

“Whoever is not grateful for small things will not be grateful for large things. Whoever is not grateful to people is not thankful to Allah. Mentioning the blessing of Allah is gratitude and not doing so is ingratitude. Unity is a mercy and division [of hearts] is a punishment”

(Musnad Ahmad; Zawaid ‘Abdullah ibn Imam Ahmad, vol. 4 pg. 278 and vol. 4 pg. 375)

Allamah Mundhiri (rahimahullah) has declared the chain sound.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Allah Ta’ala said, ‘O my Bondsmen! All of you are astray except those whom I have guided, so ask Me for guidance, I will guide you. All of you are paupers except those whom I enrich, so ask Me, I shall grant you sustenance. All of you are sinners, except those whom I have forgiven, so whoever knows [with certainty] that I am able to forgive, and seeks My forgiveness, I shall forgive him without concern.

If the first and the last of you, the living and the dead among you, the [young/knowledgeable] and the [old/ignorant] among you were were all as pious as the most pious among My slaves, that would not increase My kingdom even to the extent of a mosquito’s wing. If the first and the last of you, the living and the dead among you, the [young/knowledgeable] and the [old/ignorant] among you were were all as wretched as the most evil among My slaves, that would not decrease My kingdom even to the extent of a mosquito’s wing. If the first and the last of you, the living and the dead among you, the [young/knowledgeable] and the [old/ignorant] among you were to gather in one place, and each one had to ask whatever he desired for, and I were to give each what he asked for, that would not diminish from My kingdom, except as much as if one of you were to pass by an ocean and dip a needle into it and then remove it.

That is because I am Generous, The Perceiver, the All Noble, I do as I wish, My giving and punishment is merely an utterance, i.e. Whenever I will something I say: ‘Be’ and it becomes.'”

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever wishes to look at the Day of Qiyamah, as if it is in front of him, then he should recite the following Surahs [of the Quran]:

    Surah Takwir’ [Surah: 81]
    Surah Infitar [Surah: 82]
    Surah Inshiqaq [Surah: 84]”

Imams Tirmidhi, Ahmad and Hakim (rahimahumullah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma).

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever engages in good deeds in the latter part of his life, his past sins will be forgiven, but whoever commits vice and sin in the latter part of his life [without repenting], then he will be held accountable for the past and the remaining part of the life.”

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

    (Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 6802)

‘Allamah Mundhiri and ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahumallah) have declared the chain sound (hasan).

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

    Narrated Hamza's father (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "While I was sleeping,
I saw myself drinking (i.e. milk), and I was so contented that I saw the
milk flowing through my nails. Then I gave (the milk) to 'Umar." They (i.e.
the companions of the Prophet) asked, "How do you interpret it?" He said,
    "Knowledge."
