    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Abu Salamah narrated that ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr ran across ibn ‘Umar on the hill of Marwah, so they descended and talked. And then ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr left and ibn ‘Umar sat and wept.
He was asked, “Why are you weeping?”
Ibn ‘Umar replied, “‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr claims that he heard the Messenger of Allah say, ‘Whoever has an atoms weight of arrogance in his heart, Allah will throw him in the hellfire on his face.'”

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas

My aunt Umm Hufaid, sent some dried yogurt (butter free), ghee (butter) and a mastigar (sand lizard) to the Prophet (SAW) as a gift. The Prophet (SAW) ate the dried yogurt and butter but left the mastigar because he disliked it. Ibn Abbas said, "The mastigar was eaten at the table of Allah's Apostle (SAW) and if it had been illegal to eat, it could not have been eaten at the table of Allah's Apostle (SAW)."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Narrated/Authority of Amra

Aisha said, "the Prophet (SAW) used to practice Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan and I used to pitch a tent for him, and after offering the morning prayer, he used to enter the tent." Hafsa asked the permission of Aisha to pitch a tent for her and she allowed her and she pitched her tent. When Zainab bint Jahsh saw it, she pitched another tent. In the morning the Prophet noticed the tents. He said, 'What is this?" He was told of the whole situation. Then the Prophet said, "Do you think that they intended to do righteousness by doing this?" He therefore abandoned the Itikaf in that month and practiced Itikaf for ten days in the month of Shawwal."

    Narrated Kab (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The example of a believer
is that of a fresh tender plant, which the wind bends sometimes and makes
it straight other times. And the example of a hypocrite is that of a pine
tree which keeps straight till once it is uprooted suddenly."

    Narrated/Authority of Humran

the freed slave of Uthman reported: One day Uthman b. Affan performed the ablution well, and then said: I saw Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) perform ablution, the best ablution, and then observed: He who performed ablution like this and then went towards the mosque and nothing (but the love of) prayer urged him (to do so), all his previous (minor) sins would be expiated.

Narrated Masruq (RA): `Aisha said that a Jewess came to her and mentioned the punishment in the grave, saying to her, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave." `Aisha then asked Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) about the punishment of the grave. He said, "Yes, (there is) punishment in the grave." `Aisha added, "After that I never saw Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) but seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave in every prayer he prayed."

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to stand by a stem of a date-palm tree (while delivering a sermon). When the pulpit was placed for him we heard that stem crying like a pregnant she-camel till the Prophet (peace be upon him) got down from the pulpit and placed his hand over it.

عن عبد الله عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إن المرأة عورة فإذا خرجت استشرفها الشيطان وأقرب ما تكون من وجه ربها وهي في قعر بيتها )مسند البزار رقم 1820(

It is reported from Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas‘ood (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said that a woman should be concealed (from the eyes of strange men). When she exits from her home, Shaitaan stares at her. The time that she is closest to her Lord is when she is concealed within the recesses of her home.

Narrated/Authority of Abu Salamah bin Abdur Rahman

that he heard Abu Hurairah say: "The Iqamah for prayer was said, and we stood up and the rows were straightened, before the Messenger of Allah (saw) came out to us. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) came to us and stood in the place where he prayed, before he said the Takbir he paused and said to us: 'Stay where you are.' So we stayed there, waiting for him, until he came out to us; he had performed Ghusl and his head was dripping with water. Then he said the Takbir and prayed." (Sahih)

    Narrated/Authority of Abdullah bin Umar

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I dreamt at night that I was at the Kaba, and I saw a dark man like the most handsome of dark men you have ever seen. He had hair reaching to between his ears and his shoulders like the most excellent of such hair that you have seen. He had combed his hair, and water was dripping from it. He was leaning on two men or on the shoulders of two men doing tawaf around Kaba. I asked, 'Who is this?' It was said, 'al-Masih ibn Maryam.' Then we were with a man with wiry hair and blind in his right eye, as if it was a floating grape. I asked 'Who is this?' It was said to me, 'This is al-Masih ad-Dajjal.' "

Shaddad bin Aws–Radhi Allaahu anhu–said that the Messenger of Allaah-sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-said to me:

‘O Shaddad bin Aws! If you see the people amassing gold and silver then say these statements a lot:

‘O Allaah verily I ask of You for strength of perseverance of obedience on the Deen, and determination in practicing of the Deen and goodness. And I ask of You for that which obligates Your mercy and resolutions for Your forgiveness.
And I ask of You for the capability to be thankful for Your blessings and to worship you in a correct and good way.
And I ask of You for a heart which is purified in belief and free from desires and a truthful tongue.
And ask of You for the best of what You know, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of what You know and I seek forgiveness for that which You know.
Indeed You are the One who knows the unseen.’

    Transliteration

‘Allaahumma innee as-alooka ath-Thabat fil Amr Wal azzeemata ala Rushd, wa as-alooka Moojeebat Rahmatik, wa Azzaim Maghfiratik, wa as-alooka Shukr Na’maatik, Wa husn ibadaatika, wa as-alooka Qalbun Saleeeman wa Lisaanan Saddiqun, as-Alooka min khairi ma Ta’lamu wa Audhubika min Sharee ma Ta’lamu, wa astaghfiruka lima Ta’lum, Innaka Anta Alam al- Ghayoob.’

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My faithful servant's reward from Me, if I have taken to Me his best friend from amongst the inhabitants of the world and he has then borne it patiently for My sake, shall be nothing less than Paradise." Narrated by Al-Bukhari.

    Narrated/Authority of Shahr ibn Hawshab

said that when he saw Sayyidina Jarir ibn Abdullah (RA) perform ablution and wipe over his socks, he asked him about it and he said that he had seen the Prophet (SAW) do it. Shahr asked him, "Was it before al-Ma'idah was revealed, or after?" He said, "I embraced Islam after the revelation of al-Ma'idah."
