    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

On the Authority of Ibn Hurayrah (RA): A man said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Council me," so he (peace be upon him) said, "Do not become angry." The man repeated [his request for council] several times, and [each time] he (peace be upon him) said, "Do not become angry."

    That is an incorrect translation.

    The words are

    وشقه ساقط

saa'QiT does not mean paralyzed. It means to droop.

al-Tiibii said it means maa'il (مائل) which means to slant, incline (to one side).

The correct translation is that one side of his body will be drooping. This is in essence with the meaning of what is being discussed in the hadiith. He leaned more towards one of his wives and did not do justice so now one of his sides is leaning on the Day. It is drooping.

    Narrated/Authority of Mughira bin Shuba

I was in the company of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) on a journey when he said: Mughira take hold of this jar (of water). I took hold of it and I went out with him. (I stopped but) the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) proceeded on till he was out of my sight. He relieved himself and then came back and he was wearing a tight-sleeved Syrian gown. He tried to get his forearms out. but the sleeve of the gown was very narrow, so he brought his hands out from under the gown. I poured water over (his hands) and he performed ablution for prayer, then wiped over his socks and prayed.
