    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Saeed Ibn Jubayr narrated: "When surah tabbat yada (111) was revealed, the wife of Abu Lahab came looking for the Prophet while Abu Bakr was sitting with him. Abu Bakr said to the prophet: "I wish that you get aside, as she is coming towards us, she may cause you harm". The prophet said: "There will be a screen between me and her". So she did not see him. She said to Abu Bakr,: "Your companion is saying poetry against me". Abu Bakr said: "By Allah,he does not say poetry". She said: "Do you believe that?" and then left. Abu Bakr then said:" Oh Allah's messenger, she did not see you". The prophet said: " There was an angel screening me from her". (Musnad Abu Yala).

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Anas (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "(The people will be thrown into Hell ( Fire) and it will keep on saying, 'Is there any more?' till the Lord of the worlds puts His Foot over it, whereupon its different sides will come close to each other, and it will say, 'Qad! Qad! (enough! enough!) By Your 'Izzat (Honor and Power) and Your Karam (Generosity)!' Paradise will remain spacious enough to accommodate more people until Allah will create some more people and let them dwell in the superfluous space of Paradise."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Ibn 'Abbas Radiyallahu 'Anhu (RA) says: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam was the most generous among people in performing good deeds (No one could compare with him in generosity. He himself led a simple life, but in giving he would put a king to shame. At a time of great need a woman presented him a sheet, and he wore it as he was in need of it. A person came to him, and asked him for it, he presented the sheet to that person. Taking of loans and fulfilling the needs of others, when the creditors came, and if something had come from somewhere, he would pay the debts, and did not go home till everything was given to the needy. There exists many incidents of this nature, so much so that it is not possible to enumerate them). Particularly in the month of Ramadaan, he would be more generous till the month ended. (His generosity in this month exceeded all the other months). In this month when Jibra-eel 'Alayhis Salaam came and recited the Qur-aan to Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam, at that time his generosity exceeded the wind that brings forth heavy rains".

Narrated Anas (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "By preventing him from oppressing others."

    Narrated/Authority of Abu Said

The Prophet forbade the fasting of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha (two feast days) and also the wearing of As-Samma' (a single garment covering the whole body), and sitting with one's leg drawn up while being wrapped in one garment. He also forbade the prayers after the Fajr (morning) and the 'Asr (afternoon) prayers.

    Narrated/Authority of Abu Qatada Al-Ansari

Yahya related to me from Malik from a reliable source from Bukayr ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj from Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Hubab al-Ansari from Abu Qatada al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade making nabidh from dates and raisins together, and nearly ripe dates and fresh dates together. Malik said, "That is the way of doing things among us in which the people of knowledge in our city continue. It is disapproved of because the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade it."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Narrated/Authority of Ebrahim bin Muhammad

who is from the sons (grand sons of Ali radiallahu anhu), that whenever Ali radiallahu anhu described the nobel features of Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him), he used to say: "Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was neither very tall nor short, but of a medium stature among people. His hair was neither very curly nor very straight, but had a slight wave in it. He did not have a big body nor a round face, but his mubaarak face was slightly round (meaning he did not have a fully round face nor a fully elongated face, but in between the two). The complexion of Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was white with redness in it. The mubaarak eyes of Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) were extremely black. His eyelashes were long. The joints of the body (e.g. elbows and knees etc.) were large, likewise the portion between the two shoulders was broad and fully fleshed. There was no hair (more than normal) on his body. (Some people have profuse hair on their body. Sayyidina Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) did not have hair on the parts of his body, besides places like the arms and legs etc.) He had a thin line of hair running from the chest to the navel. The hands and feet of Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) were fully fleshed. When he walked, he lifted his legs with vigour, as if he were descending to a low-lying place. When he addressed a person he turned his whole body towards that person. (He did not only turn his face towards the person he addressed, as this is considered impolite, and sometimes, it even denotes pride. Sayyidina Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) faced the person he spoke to, with his chest and body. Some scholars have translated this as, when Sayyidina Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) addressed someone, he completely turned his face towards that person, and did not give a side glance. This is not a suitable translation). The seal of Prophethood was situated between his shoulders. He was a last of all prophets. He was the most generous and the most truthful. He was the most kind-hearted and came from a most noble family. (It means his character, family background and everything else was of the best). Any person who saw him suddenly would become awe-inspired. Sayyidina Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) had such a great personality and dignity, that the person who saw him for the first time, because of his awe-inspiring personality, would be overcome with a feeling of profound respect. Firstly, there is a ro'b (awe) for physical beauty, with this when other Kamaalat are added what more could then be said of the ro'b (awe). Besides, the special attributes and qualities granted to Sayyidina Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) ro'b (awe) is also one of the special qualities granted to him). Anyone who came in close contact with him, and knew his excellent character was smitten with the love of his excellent attributes. Anyone who described his noble features can only say: "I have not seen anyone like Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) neither before nor after him."

"that Allah's Messenger (SAW) stood in prayer one day till his feet swelled. So, he was told, 'You take pains like this while forgiven to you are your sins, past and future." He said, "Shall I not be a grateful slave?" [Ahmed 18271, Bukhari 1130, Muslim 2819, Nisai 1643, Ibn e Majah 1419]

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "O people, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking a living, for no soul will die until it has received all its provision, even if it is slow in coming. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking provision; take that which is permissible and leave that which is forbidden."

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him.”

A hasan (good) hadeeth which was related by at-Tirmidhi and others in this fashion.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

Narrated Ibn `Umar (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise and the people of the Fire have entered the Fire, death will be brought and will be placed between the Fire and Paradise, and then it will be slaughtered, and a call will be made (that), 'O people of Paradise, no more death! O people of the Fire, no more death! 'So the people of Paradise will have happiness added to their previous happiness, and the people of the Fire will have sorrow added to their previous sorrow."

    (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 8, Book 81, Hadith 137)
