    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. It was related by al-Bukhari.

Abdullah b. Mas'ud (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache (qareen) from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good. Abd Allah b. 'Amr (RA) reported the Prophet (peace be upon him) as saying: The time of the Zuhr prayer is as long as the time of the 'Asr prayer has not come; the time of the Asr prayer is as long as the sun has not become yellow; the time of the Maghrib prayer is as long as the twilight has not ended; the time of the Isha prayer is up to midnight, and the time of the Fajr prayer is as long as the sun has not risen.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

that his father took him to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
and said, "I have given this son of mine a slave." The Prophet (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked, "Have you given all your sons the like?" He
replied in the negative. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said,
    "Take back your gift then."

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:

Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night.

During (that stormy period) a man would be a Muslim in the morning and an unbeliever in the evening or he would be a believer in the evening and an unbeliever in the morning, and would sell his faith for worldly goods.

    Hadith

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:

I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) in a dream when I slept in the middle of the day. He was standing, looking dishevelled and dusty, with a bottle in his hand in which there was blood. I said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah. What is this? He said: This is the blood of al-Husain and his companions. I have been collecting it all day. We worked out that day, and we found that it was the day on which he was killed.

It was narrated that Harithah (RA) said: Some people from Syria came to ‘Umar (RA) and said: We have acquired wealth and horses and slaves, and we want to pay zakah on them as a purification. He said: I shall do what my two predecessors did. He consulted the Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him) among whom was ‘Ali (RA), and ‘Ali (RA) said: It is good, provided it does not become a regular tax that is taken from them after you are gone.

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Narrated/Authority of Al-Aswad

"We were with 'Aisha discussing the regularity of offering the prayer and dignifying it. She said, 'When Allah's Apostle fell sick with the fatal illness and when the time of prayer became due and Adhan was pronounced, he said, 'Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.' He was told that Abu Bakr was a soft-hearted man and would not be able to lead the prayer in his place. The Prophet gave the same order again but he was given the same reply. He gave the order for the third time and said, 'You (women) are the companions of Joseph. Tell Abu Bakr to lead the prayer.' So Abu Bakr came out to lead the prayer. In the meantime the condition of the Prophet improved a bit and he came out with the help of two men one on each side. As if I was observing his legs dragging on the ground owing to the disease. Abu Bakr wanted to retreat but the Prophet beckoned him to remain at his place and the Prophet was brought till he sat beside Abu Bakr." Al-A'mash was asked, "Was the Prophet praying and Abu Bakr following him, and were the people following Abu Bakr in that prayer?" Al-A'mash replied in the affirmative with a nod of his head. Abu Muawiya said, "The Prophet was sitting on the left side of Abu Bakr who was praying while standing."
