Cupping and ridding the body of Inflamation

Many conditions and ailments that we suffer from are related to inflammation. This includes all conditions that end with the word “itis” such as arthritis, tendonitis, gastritis, appendicitis etc. The common factor in all these conditions is that there is too much unwanted inflammation in that area.

This is why anti-inflammatory medication is regularly prescribed by doctors to try and reduce the amount of this inflammation.

Unwanted inflammation can be simplified as a state in which there is too much blood in an area causing pressure and stagnation, thus preventing the regular flow of nutrient and waste exchange. This results in pain and compromised natural healing abilities.

If left untreated this can develop into a chronic state in which the reduced blood flow allows the build up of waste, carbon dioxide and acidity, causing further pressure, cell damage, pain, and discomfort leading to more inflammation, perpetuating the problem.

Chemical drugs can be used to reduce pain and dampen down inflammation but cupping therapy has the unique ability of drawing out inflammation, stagnant blood, cell debris and toxins from deep within the body to the surface of the skin.

By utilising wet cupping therapy this built up pressure can be released through tiny pin pricks or light scratches on the skin. This often gives instantaneous relief and allows fresh blood, nutrients and oxygen to penetrate the area breaking the cycle of pain and discomfort.

Traditionally it has been understood that wet cupping also allows a process of purifying the blood and removing unwanted materials from the system. Many times there are unwanted or high levels of harmful elements in the blood such as cholesterol, uric acid, calcium deposits, rheumatoid factors and chemical messengers that modulate inflammation. By removing these elements you can reduce the problems that they cause and reduce pain, discomfort and inevitably disease.

For this reason hijama (wet cupping) therapy has been used throughout history to treat a wide range of conditions and even as a preventative medicine. The feeling of wellbeing, looseness in the body and higher levels of energy are common reports of patients undergoing this form of treatment.

    NOTE:
cupping should only be done by a qualified therapist. It is a medical procedure which requires expertise. Don't go to just anyone to perform it because the experience may leave you traumatised.

Re: Cupping and ridding the body of Inflamation

I'm seriously considering doing a course in Hijama, in sha Allah.

I had this treatment done two years ago in February and Alhamdulillah, it really helped stop my migraines for at least 18 months and rejuvenated mind and body.

The Hijama therapy course i'm looking into is a four day intensive course in Luton, UK.

is anyone else interested in doing this? maybe we could attend at the same time in sha Allah. I plan on doing mine next month if Allah wills.

(i already have a cupping set and a pump gun lol, was a gift from years ago - Allah sure is subtle, Allahu Akbar).

Re: Cupping and ridding the body of Inflamation

Would hijama have the same effects afterwards as donating blood?

I'm not planning on having it done any time soon but I'm okay with needles etc, I actually once saw a cupping set in a store once, which was slightly scary .

    Blood donors are superheroes.

Cupping can make some people feel weak initially however the amount of blood drawn is less than a pint.

Re: Cupping and ridding the body of Inflamation

some1 bought me a hijamah kit - and it was a bloody good self hijamah experiences

i ll be doing my 3rd set of 2 cupping next week inshallah and i started on the 25th night of ramadan as the person who bought me the set was leaving before ramadan.
and also wanted to test it out.
then i did 2 more cup last thursday during the day.

generally it cost me 25 -45 pound here. for 5 cups
but i relax and do it when i want 2 cups at a time no more so i can do other thing s at the same time.
i also keep it on about 30- 45 mins - which is long. - but i relax rather than think when will he finish
the good blood and bad blood is there.
last time i picked the top of the knee area.

i m just testing at the moment.

Re: Cupping and ridding the body of Inflamation

Sooo.. I was able to find someone to do cupping on me. Guys, it doesn't hurt! I had it done on my upper back few inches below shoulders. There was slight discomfort when the cups were applied to create a suction. But the whole process wasn't awful. The needle/blade poking wasn't bad, felt like someone poking.

    Y'all get it done!
