Like some members, I googled 'Islamic Forum' or smthing like that and found this site. What made me stay was perhaps t3h Advice & Support section where you can anonymously post personal problems or questions.
I also searched Islamic forum like all the other members above. I did not like it a t first because it seems crowded after an year or two I started liking it and then the same case as Sis Raina.
many years ago saw my sister visiting this forum(dont know how she found it)..i was just curious whats this all about. so decided to enter here but first i felt this place is full of highly knowledgeable people and i was feeling dumb but now i m too in love with this place..
But I wait for few weeks before I join in Islamicboard. It's because I was afraid I would not able to discuss here. My English was very very bad. It's ironic because my parents were very good in English.
My dad had high TOEFL score. It made government sent him to take engineering course in Japan, Hawaii and in University of California Berkeley. My mom? She was English course teacher.
But I was too lazy to learn English.
But later I realize, if I do not have courage to try I will never able to discuss in English. So, I decided to join in IB.
I remember, the first time I joined in IB I felt inferior because my bad English. So, I wrote I "I shall learn English in an English course near my home". But bro North Malaysian replied "Tak usah, cukup aktif di forum saja" (You don't need to do it, just active in forum).
I know, my English is still far from perfect, but I am sure, it's better than when the first time I joined in IB
25:36 And the true servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk the earth with humility and when the ignorant address them, they respond with words of peace.
i got here through random browsing, found i needed to stick with a diverse Muslim community which is almost impossible in daily interactions,
and hope Allah brings through it a lot of goodness & blessings
I was just randomly browsing Google and searching about Islam. Then I found a really informative thread, and clicked on the forum to see what it's about. Long story short became the new owner of the forum .
well i was already with another forum and it went down for a long time and so i decided to check out other islamic forums and came across this............initially i didnt want to join but i though this forum was cool and friendly and the peeps were warm and friendly too..........so i stayed lol and post every now and then

Pain and hardships allow you to grow spiritually Alhamdulilah so smile when a so called calamity befalls upon you.
Alhamdulilah Allah swt is the greatest.
I came across this and several other sites when I was searching for answers on the Web and found plenty of distractions (interesting articles) from various sites. Wanted to read them all but somehow couldn't and didn't find them again, or forgot as there were numerous.
Don't know what it was exactly that made me join this one. It may be because it was more grounded and that you had to have your sources to make a claim (kind of thing).
Why I joined was to differentiate between what is custom and what is sunnah (in simple terms).
