Well, I remember it like it was yesterday. well not quite. But I was on this Muslim forum - I don't remember it's name- and that was shut down and then I searched for forums and found this one. And I liked it better than the other because it had a community feel to it. And I loved the creative section, especially the writing contests. This forum changed my fiction writing to Islamic fiction with a moral. Before coming here I had mainly written about nonmuslim characters and not much short stories. And then because I was told writing fiction was like lying and because my stories were of nonmuslim characters, I had decided to stop writing fiction, but finding the Islamic themed story contest, I tried a different type of fiction writing and loved it. It was really the first time I could write a whole story. And so that was how it was. I guess I loved the IB community style and the mix of serious discussions and friendly interaction.
I found the forum via Google by searching something like "Islamic forum." I figured looking for one would help me better understand Islam and interact with active Muslims who could help me.
I'm pretty sure how I found this forum is the same as many. I google searched "Islamic Forum" and Islamicboard was the first to pop up. I tried out other forums, lurked around mostly, but this one felt the friendlest so I made my account.
I was searching about something in Islam, and this site came up. Alhamdulillah, I've been searching about an islamic forum app for awhile, and now I found it Masya Allah. May Allah bless everyone in here, amin.
