    Report bad ads?

Hello. I am Kori. The main reason I joined this site is because I like other cultures and a story I am going to restart. It's not about Islam but Islam will be in it plenty of time. Any questions?

    Peace with you

Welcome to forum. Good luck to you with your book (what ever the story will be). If you include to it something about Islam, hopely this forum will be good place to find some basic informations about it.

It´s important at this time to know and understand also about other cultures as it helps us to live together in the same world, but remember that Islam is not a culture but a way of life.

I have to agree with Sister herb, Islam is more than a culture, more than a religion even...

I also share the same view with you when you say that you like other culture, i live in Tunisia, a country where there is no difference at all.
But, whenever i find a tourist, i just try to speak to him to discover his beliefs and culture and whenever i discover something new that i don't know then i go like crazy, just waw, wow, yay!!!! haha

Well I am a Norse Pagan. I do believe in Greek, Egyptian, Japanese etc God's and Goddess's but I do not worship them. My favorite shows are Steven Universe, Vikings, and Doctor Who. I am Democratic Socialist with some Marxism/Communism in me. I like to write I have two story ideas that I plan to write, 3 or 4 others that I MAY get around to one day. Once I can post links I will provide a few for some info but google Odin and Billings Daughter. It's my favorite story.

Hello Kori, and welcome to the forum.

I love to learn about cultures too. And to be honest, I joined in this forum because I want to know closer with Muslims, also non-Muslims, from other cultures.

Yes. However I do not like the Greek God's. Zeus is a shape shifting rapist, Medusa was turned into that form as a punishment for being raped...the Norse God's and Goddess though they can feel pain, emotions, and can even die. Most of them will when Ragnarök befalls Midgard. I love them because even though they are Gods the are also something like humans.

    Re: kveðja

    Welcome to the forum Kori.

Please may I ask, what is your understanding of the term God. What is God to you? And do you believe a rapist controls the world or some parts of it?

We believe in One God, the creator of the heavens of the earth and everything in them, and worship Him alone.

There is only One God. He alone should be worshipped. He is our Creator, Sustainer, and Lord.

He does not beget, nor is He begotten. He has no sons, daughters, spouses, siblings, parents, cousins, or relatives of any sort.

He is eternal and does not die. He does not depend on anyone/anything yet we all depend on Him. He is free of all want and need.

There is nothing like Him. He is all Hearing, all Seeing, all Knowing, all Powerful, Incomparable, the Creator of the Universe.

He did not/does not, become flesh, dwell in human or animal bodies, nor are there any incarnations of Him. He is not mixed up in His creation in any way.

He is not composed of persons, nor a trinity. There are no secondary, lesser, greater, equal, or multiple gods, nor any intermediaries. And no denying of God's existence either.

There are no sharers, associates, persons or parts whatsoever in His exclusive Divinity. Simply, He is One, in every sense.

He is the Pure, free from imperfection, Glorified and Exalted be He.

As you can see, the concept is clear, simple, logical, makes sense, and befits the Majesty of God. The proper name of God in Arabic is Allah.

Allah created everything, the heavens, the earth, and everything that is in them, including you. From time to time, he sent human messengers to mankind to convey His message to them, and with guidance to show people how He wants them to live and worship Him. One day this world will end and we will be brought to account for our deeds on judgement day.

    Peace.

    Re: kveðja

Comrade. This maybe a little confusing. Yggdrasill is the World tree it holds up the Nine Worlds. Midgard(Earth) Was created by death. Things began as Ice and Fire. The world Niflheim of Ice, Muspelheim of Fire. In Muspelheim Surtr is waiting to cover Midgard in fire. Between them was a void called Ginnungagap. The two worlds created a Giant named Ymir. He was evil. Man and Woman (Ice Giants) came from ooze from his left armpit. One of his legs fathered a son to his other leg. As more Ice in Ginnungagap a cow was formed named Audumla. She licked a block of salt and a Man came from it named Buri. His sons from a female frost giant were Odin, Vili, and Ve. They would later kill Ymir, the earth is his skin, mountains from his unbroken bones. his teeth, jaws, and broken bones are boulders, rocks and so forth. His blood is the Sea and Lakes, his brain are clouds. His skull is the sky dome. Human men and women were created from two fallen trees. Odin gave them spirit of life, Vili gave them sharp wits and feeling hearts, and Ve gave them hearing and sight. The Nine Worlds of Yggdrasill are: Asgard, World of the Aesir God's and Goddess's, Vanaheim, The World of the Vanir God's and Goddess's, Alfheim the World of Light Elves, Midgard, The World of Humans, Nidavellir, The World of Dwarfs, Sartalfheim, The World of Dark Elves, Jotunheim, The World of Giants, Hel, The World of the dead. Niflheim, The World of the dead where evil people go. That is how thing's begain. Something like a "Big Bang". This is just the beginning though.

You didn't really answer my question Kori Harpoon.

How do you know, that any being is a god?

As an example, in Islam, God is One, Unique, Eternal, does not beget nor is He Himself begotten, and there is nothing like Him. These are some of the qualities by which anyone that contends that they are God can be tested. If they fail any one of those, they are not God. There are additional things such as He's all knowing, above the heavens, created the world and more etc.

So what is it, that makes your gods gods?

We believe that anyone can reflect, and ponder on the intricate system of the universe all around them and conclude that there is a God, a Creator, that made all this. Is it possible for anyone to reflect and consider, and reach the conclusion that what you wrote in posts 8 and 10 occurred, without being told these stories?

    Peace.
