    'Coming soon!'

    The history of Muslims in Britain goes back well over a 1000 years. Eighth century coins from the reign of King Offa stamped with the Muslim declaration of faith offer a glimpse into this very little known history. Despite this rather vague memory, the West has traditionally treated Islam as the 'other side' or as a far-away secret of the mystical East.

    Although there remains some 'validity' in such notions, the 21st century has seen this simple world-view rocked and radically complicated by a growing presence in the West of over ten million Muslims. God's domain is not restricted by any geographical state whether East or West and thus the Muslim narrative is in desperate need of a new frame of reference...

    University College London Union presents the National Ramadhan Charity Conference.

    Video Clip: http://www.*******.com/watch?v=BGoD-...eature=related

    UCL Union hopes to revive a prophetic spirit by raising £20,000 for a selected orphanage founded in Eastern-Sudan. It homes hundreds of refugee children suffering from the trauma and horrors of war. When you give to these children, you give towards an unprecedented and comprehensive 'Islamic Compound' for them facilitating a purposeful Masjid and school within the same centre.

    Most desperately, your help provides them with;

    1. a vibrant Masjid and Islamic Centre in which they will enjoy a flourishing Islamic ambiance, play centres, and receivemuch needed spiritual tarbiyah

    2. an extension to this Masjid will be an exclusive female's wing where fragile young orphan girls will receive counselling, special training and sensitive schooling

    3. sophisticated sleeping dorms, (fitted with play centres) suitable for their needs and maintaining their dignity and esteemed station as orphans

    4. an effective regular school for both boys and girls to teach them not only computer literacy, reading, writing amongst other things, but also the critical life skills that will win them their long term independence insha'Allah!

    The Prophet (pbuh) loved the orphans with immense affection. This is an opportunity to invest in your akhirah and help young helpless children to fight their way out of poverty's vicious and biting reality and look after their families.
