Walaikum salaam,
Here is Sh Bilals Bio:
Bilal Ismail
Sheikh Bilal Ismail was born in Durban, South Africa. He grew up in sugarcane growing town of Tongaat in the greater Durban area. He is one of three siblings and comes from a religious deobandi tableeghi family.
He memorized the Quran while studying at school and went on to complete high school in 1998. Sheikh Bilal then went on to do a diploma in Computer Science in 1999 as well as qualifying as a microsoft certified systems engineer. He was accepted into the Islamic University of Madinah in 2001 where he completed his Diploma in Arabic followed by a BA in Islamic Law from the faculty of Shariah.
Sheikh Tawfique Chowdhury says about him: "He was always one of the most studious people I had met and he never wasted time whilst in Madinah." Also: "Sheikh Bilal is a personal friend of mine and I would describe him to be a true student of knowledge - some one who speaks with knowledge and is of the highest adab and morals."
After graduating, he returned to South Africa where he had been teaching Fiqh and Tafseer weekly classes in Durban since the summer of 2007. Sheikh Bilal is married and says he is "still a student of knowledge - and will always be!"
Sheikh Bilal joins our academic team as an instructor and as the academic head of the students guild and has quickly become a favourite of students around the world.
Why I love Abu Bakr RadiyAllahu 'Anhu-See if we can get more than 200 inshaAllah!
Why I love Abu Bakr RadiyAllahu 'Anhu...
1) I love Abu Bakr RadiyAllahu 'Anhu becuase when the the Prophet salAllahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam announced that he (Abu Bakr) could accompany him during Hijra, he started to weep out of the love he had for the Prophet, eventhough he realised the dangers of taking this journey.
Re: Best of the Best - Lives of Abu bakr & Umar RadhiyAllahu 'Anhuma
2) Upon the death of prophet (salallahu alayhi wassalaam) it was Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) who restored peace and order amongst the sahabas. It was him, who took charge as a true leader would and recited the Words of Allah and it seemed as though it had been recited for the first time ever
'Muhammad is no more than a Messenger and indeed many messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels, not the least harm he will do to Allah and Allah will give reward to those who are grateful.'
Re: Best of the Best - Lives of Abu bakr & Umar RadhiyAllahu 'Anhuma
As Salaamu'Alaikum wa Rahmatullah
1) The Prophet salAllahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam once said; ''Ibn al-Khattab, by Him in Whose hand is myself, the shaytan never met you travelling on a road but that he would travel on a road other than your road.''

If you can't enroll, Anwar al Awlaki has a good series on the life of Abu Bakr and Umar RA. He covers pretty much everything I think. You can download them from here.

Pearls of Wisdom- Best of the Best - Lives of Abu bakr & Umar RadhiyAllahu 'Anhuma
Truthfulness is a trust and lies are treachery
Taqwa is not fearing Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala but fear of disobeying Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala
Prophet Sal Allahu allaihi wa sallam died at the age of 63
Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu died at the age of 63
Umar radi Allahu anhu died at the age of 63
Die at 63 its sunnah!
Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala willed that the necklace becomes lost to bless the ummah with the rules of tayammum – subhanAllah
We Prophets are not inherited from, whatever we leave is sadaqa
The Prophets don’t leave money but they leave knowledge instead
Don’t be neglectful or careless in swearing by the name of Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala. Otherwise Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala will bring punishment to you
Be humble in acts of obedience to Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala
No one will protect us except Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala
Seek protection from Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala in Allah subhana wa ta ‘ala
Feel free to add your own inshaAllah. Remember the 'Pearls of Wisdom' has to be related to Abu Bakr & Umar (RA)...
