Assalamualaikum, Ramen.
ConcealedGem has answered your question correctly. That was the words of Imam Shafi'i.
And it's better if you didn't mix Imam al-Fiqh (Imam Shafi'i and Imam Abu Hanifa) with Imam al-Hadith (Imam Bukhari and Imam Tirmidzi) in the answer choice.
:)
JazakAllah khayr, brother Ardianto, :)
True.. You could only bottle it down to two because they were the only fiqh imams. Jazakallah Khayran @ardianto
Imam Bukhari was Imam al-Hadith. His work was classifying the degree of hadiths. He didn't issue statement that relates to madhab al-fiqh like the statement above.
Imam Shafi'i memorized huge numbers of hadith. However, his work was not classifying the degree of hadith, but arranging the guidance about how Muslims should do, that called fiqh. Fiqh which Imam Shafi'i had arranged developed into school of thought (madhab) that called madhab as-Shafi'iyah
Can I ask a Q..?
Imam Bukhari rh.a didn't take any hadith in Bukhari from one of the following imam
a: imam makki b ibrahim
b: imam yahya b ma'een
c: imam shafi'i
d: imam humaidi
Is it between D or A?
