    Unhappy Am I Harsh?

    Report bad ads?

    First of all: Salam alaikum!

Few months ago, my friend invited me over to a chat room where everyone was having a light talk.
Then one asked, 'What do you think of someone whom you treat well but then reacts badly?'
When I commented I mentioned that I disapprove such attitude and it's just some people are sick.
Then few days a friend told me that the person who asked this question complained that my comment was too harsh and like that I provoked him. I was supposed to ask first what the situation was.

Anyway I'm kind of confused. I have to agree I'm harsh sometimes but it's not out of rudeness really. Still am I wrong?

    Re: Am I Harsh?

    Narated By ‘Aisha :
The Jews used to greet the Prophet by saying, “As-Samu ‘Alaika (i.e., death be upon you), so I understood what they said, and I said to them, “As-Samu ‘alaikum wal-la’na (i.e. Death and Allah’s Curse be upon you).” The Prophet said, “Be gentle and calm, O ‘Aisha, as Allah likes gentleness in all affairs.” I said, “O Allah’s Prophet! Didn’t you hear what they said?” He said, “Didn’t you hear me answering them back by saying, ‘Alaikum (i.e. the same be upon you)?”
[Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 75, Hadith No 404]

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Shall I tell you who is kept away from Hell and from whom Hell is kept away? (Hell is kept away) from everyone who is gentle and kindly, approachable and of an easy disposition."
    Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1315
