لَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ قَلْبِي مِنَ النِّفَاقِ وَعَمَلِي مِنَ الرِّيَاءِ وَلِسَانِي مِنَ الْكَذِبِ وَعَيْنِي مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ
فَإِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ
Allahumma tahhir qalbee minan-nifaaq,
‘O Allah! Purify my heart from hypocrisy,
wa ‘amali minar riya,
my deeds from any kind of riya (ostentation),
wa lisaani minal kazib,
my tongue from lying,
wa ‘ayni minal khiyaanati,
& my eye from treachery
fa innaka ta’alamu khaainatal a’yuni wa ma tukhfis sudoor.
For indeed You know the treachery of the eyes and what the hearts conceal.’
