Arrow Defeat Shaythan by learning his tricks! (OP)

    Asalaamu Alaikum,

We have all heard of the phrase "learn the tricks of the trade". This is so that we learn how the professionals go about their work in order to prevent possibly being tricked by them for example. Similarly shaythan is a professional and is at work 24 hours a day 7 days a week trying to destroy and corrupt our souls in order that we live a life bewildered, following our lusts, desires and chasing this dunya (world), until we forget our purpose and our creator, and do not repent until death over takes us, and by then it is too late as we would have wasted our entire lives.

Ibn Al-Qayyim said: "He who does not torture his devil in this worldly life by mentioning Allaah, seeking forgiveness, worshipping Allaah alone and obeying Him, then his devil will cause him to be punished (and tortured) in the Hereafter." (Badaa'i Al-Fawaa'id)

Therefore this thread is dedicated to learning the tricks and deception of shaythan so that we can "conciously" prevent him from tricking and decieving us any longer!

This actually works, i recall back in '05-'06 when i used to pray 8 rakahs tahajjud, and some nights sleep through, then i read that the Prophet would complete 12 during the day if he missed the night prayer, one day after this i purposely felt really regretful after missing it and prayed 12, the next night i felt as if someone was delicately coaxing me out of sleep as if by whispering adoringly and brushing a soft feather on my skin.

Praying tahajjud, fasting alternately, reading Quran and sahih ahadith every morning, and duha prayer, and completing a 30th of the Quran every day in arabic and english translation with Arabic audio playing in the background whilst not smoking or even drinking tea or coffee, and living on basic necessities ensured that i was constantly in a state of taqwa and high self control. I was very cautious of small slips and found it easy to focus, absorb, sort, catalogue, and decipher meanings of events on a very deep level - then it all changed fast.

I would pray tahajjud at the home and sometimes take a small nap before pedal biking it to the mosque, they ended up giving me a copy of the keys to the mosque due to my punctuality.
My interest in global events and God gifted ability to smack down frivolous vain talkers in living room discussions had some people very alert however and things went downhill after i gave certain unscrupulous and corrupt family members (especially those with positions in borough politics who were looked up to by most other family members) more time than was wise. Now i can rarely awake for fajr let alone tahajjud.

The moral i took from it is that it is better to find like minded brothers and sisters or to keep oneself isolated from those who feel that their corrupt matrix is threatened - when these people feel put down - they resort to backbiting and putting you down in your absence in order to save face, and if your own family are far from Islam it is easy for them to relate with those who have status in society and to see you as a deluded other (especially in the political climate of the Bush era) despite the fact that they respect you in the absence of those people.... just added a small part of my narrative in case you wondered why i would have stopped - my brain tends to feel foggy since that explosion in my head - and i pray that Allah holds the British government and anyone allied to it accountable since their harrassment hasn't stopped.

Satan himself admits that he has no power over Allah’s (awj) sincere servants when he swears,

    Surat al-Hijr (15), Verse 39-40:
    ‎وَلَأَغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ. إِلاَّ عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ

“I shall misguide them all except Your sincere servants.”

Comes across quite without context - what do you think?
Do you think that Adam and Hawwa were from amongst Allah's sincere servants? Or that the Prophet who was made to forget his actions and was caused to be disillusioned to the extent that he was imagining having done things that he hadn't, and even had interceptions made during the recitation of Surah An-Najm was from amongst Allah's sincere servants?

    Some info:

    Praise be to Allaah.
The hadeeth of magic against the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is a saheeh hadeeth which was narrated by al-Bukhaari, Muslim and other imams of hadeeth. Ahl al-Sunnah accept this story and no one denies it except an innovator. There follows the text of the hadeeth, its source, its meaning and the refutation by the scholars of those who deny it.

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: A spell was put on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) until he imagined that he had done a thing when he had not done it. One day he made du’aa’ then he said: “Do you know that Allaah has shown me in what lies my cure? Two men came to me and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet. One of them said to the other, ‘What is ailing the man?’ He said: ‘He has been bewitched.’ He said: “Who has bewitched him?’ He said: ‘Labeed ibn al-A’sam.’ He said, ‘With what?’ He said: ‘With a comb, the hair that is stuck to it, and the skin of pollen of a male date palm. He said: ‘Where is it?’ He said, ‘In the well of Dharwaan.’” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went out to the well, then he came back and said to ‘Aa’ishah when he came back: “Its date palms are like the heads of devils.” I said: “Did you take it out?” He said: “No. Allaah has healed me, and I feared that that might bring evil upon the people.” Then the well was filled in.

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3268; Muslim, 2189.

.........Al-Maazari said: The innovators rejected this hadeeth and claimed that it detracted from the status of Prophethood and cast aspersions upon it.......

....I – Ibn Hajar – say: This is what is stated clearly in the report of Ibn ‘Uyaynah that is narrated by al-Bukhaari, which says: “until he thought that he had had intercourse with his wives when he had not done so.”

Also what is your opinion on the actions of a person who has been administered drugs such as rohypnol (flunitrazepam)? Are they cursed and rajeem?

    Search video of hypothetical drug

If enough of the drug is taken, a person may experience a state of automatism or dissociation. After the drug wears off, users may find themselves unable to remember what happened while under its influence.

When Satan had knowledge of this he became mad with indignation. And so he drew near to the gate of paradise, whereat stood on guard a horrid serpent, which had legs like a camel, and the nails of his feet cut like a razor on every side.
To him said the enemy: "Suffer me to enter into paradise."
'The serpent answered: "And how shall I suffer thee to enter, God having commanded me to drive thee out?"
'Satan answered: "Thou seest how much God loveth thee, since he hath set thee outside of paradise to keep guard over a lump of clay, which is man. Wherefore, if thou bring me into paradise I will make thee so terrible that every one shall flee thee, and so at thy pleasure thou shalt go and stay."
'Then said the serpent: "And how shall I set thee within?"
'Said Satan. "Thou art great: therefore open thy mouth, and I will enter into thy belly, and so thou entering into paradise shalt place me near to those two lumps of clay that are newly walking upon the earth."
'Then the serpent did so, and placed Satan near to Eve, for Adam, her husband, was sleeping. Satan presented himself before the woman like a beauteous angel, and said to her "Wherefore eat ye not of those apples and of corn?"
'Eve answered: "Our God hath said to us that eating thereof we shall be unclean, and therefore he will drive us from paradise."
'Satan answered: "He saith not the truth. Thou must know that God is wicked and envious, and therefore he brooketh no equals, but keepeth every one for a slave. And so he hath thus spoken unto you, in order that ye may not become equal to him. But if thou and thy companion do according to my counsel, ye shall eat of those fruits even as of the others, and ye shall not remain subject to others, but like God ye shall know good and evil, and ye shall do that which ye please, because ye shall be equal to God."
'Then Eve took and ate of those [fruits]. And when her husband awoke she told all that Satan had said; and he took of them, his wife offering them, and did eat. Whereupon, as the food was going down, he remembered the words of God; wherefore, wishing to stop the food, he put his hand into his throat, where every man has the mark.

Then the high-priest called two old priests secretly and sent them to Jesus, who was gone out of the temple, and was sitting in Solomon's porch, waiting to pray the midday prayer. And near him he had his disciples with great multitude of people.
The priests drew near to Jesus and said: 'Master, wherefore did man eat corn and fruit? Did God will that he should eat it, or no?' And this they said tempting him; for if he said: 'God willed it,' they would answer: 'Why did he forbid it?' and if he said: 'God willed it not,' they would say: 'Then man hath more power than God, since he worketh contrary to the will of God.'

Jesus answered: 'Your question is like a road over a mountain, which hath a precipice on the right hand and on the left: but I will walk in the middle.'
When they heard this the priests were confounded, perceiving that he knew their heart.

Then said Jesus: 'Every man, for that he hath need, worketh everything for his own use. But God, who hath no need of anything, wrought according to his good pleasure. Wherefore in creating man he created him free in order that he might know that God had no need of him; Verbi gratia, as doth a King, who to display his riches, and in order that his slaves may love him more, giveth freedom to his slaves.
God, then, created man free in order that he might love his Creator much the more and might know his bounty. For although God is omnipotent, not having need of man, having created him by his omnipotence, he left him free by his bounty, in such wise that he could resist evil and do good. For although God had power to hinder sin, he would not contradict his own bounty (for God hath no contradiction) in order that, his omnipotence and bounty having wrought in man, he should not contradict sin in man, I say, in order that in man might work the mercy of God and his righteousness.
And in token that I speak the truth, I tell you that the high-priest hath sent you to tempt me, and this is the fruit of his priesthood.'

The old men departed and recounted all to the high-priest, who said: 'This fellow hath the devil at his back, who recounteth everything to him; for he aspireth to the kingship over Israel; but God will see to that.'

    61. They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!"
    62. And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones?
    63. "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?"
    64. Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire!
    65. Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,-
    66. "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again."
    67. Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),-
    68. "From which ye do turn away!
    69. "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves.
    70. 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly."
    71. Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay:
    72. "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."
    73. So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:
    74. Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith.
    75. ((Allah)) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"
    76. (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay."
    77. ((Allah)) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed.
    78. "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment."
    79. (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised."
    80. ((Allah)) said: "Respite then is granted thee-
    81. "Till the Day of the Time Appointed."
    82. (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong,-
    83. "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)."
    84. ((Allah)) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting-
    85. "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one."
    86. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender.
    87. "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds.
    88. "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while."
