Being Mild, Tolerant And Gentle . . .

    salaam

Diggidy Diggidy Ya Best Check Yaselfs Before Ya Wreck Yaselfs

islam was sent for our guidance, as it says in surah Ta Ha, like it was sent to make us better people. jus prayin 5 times, fastin dont make you a muslim. there are loads of other things that count towards one being a muslim! good manners, and stuff like RasoolAllah (sal Allah hu aleyhi wasalam) had the bestest manners, mashallah, and we all should try to be like him. he was mild, gentle and tolerant towards people

Allah (swt) says in surah Al Imran v 134

"...who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers).''

and in surah al Araaf v 199

"Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the foolish (i.e., don't punish them).''

    also in surah Fussilat v34-35

"The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e., Allah orders the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly) then verily he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend. But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient - and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of happiness in the Hereafter, i.e., Jannah and of a high moral character) in this world.''

and in surah ash shuraa v 43

"And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah.''

so to be a good muslim you have to have heavy manners aswell, like if someone is gettin rude to you, you dont jus bring out a baseball bat on them, you should try and be tolerant, because we should all remember we are muslims and we a representin islam. if we do somethin bad, then people will give islam a bad name, but if we do somethin good then they will give islam a good name woo hoo

    some hadiths

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to Ashaj Abdul-Qais (May Allah be pleased with him), "You possess two qualities that Allah loves. These are clemency and tolerance.''[Muslim]

clemency means mildness for all them people that dont go school

so if Allah (swt) loves these qualities we should try to get them within us, and tolerance and mildness make you feel so calm and chilled out, so its good to have these qualities!

Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah is Forbearer and loves forbearance in all matters.''[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Aishah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah is Forbearer and He loves forbearance, and rewards for forbearance while He does not reward severity, and does not give for any thing besides it (forbearance).''[Muslim]

so, the opposite of bein mild is being aggressive and we shouldnt be aggressive towards people, because Allah (swt) dont like it

Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Whenever forbearance is added to something, it adorns it; and whenever it is withdrawn from something, it leaves it defective.''
    [Muslim]

forbearance can be added to anytin, like you can be soft spoken, you can be kind to people, so whenever you do a good deed and add good manners to it, you get reward

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A bedouin urinated in the mosque and some people rushed to beat him up. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Leave him alone and pour a bucket of water over it. You have been sent to make things easy and not to make them difficult.''
    [Al-Bukhari]

i think this hadiths is really important, because it shows if someone does somethin wrong, we should try to guide them towards the truth. what happens nowadays is when someone is doin somethin wrong, we tend to constantly sayin "your wrong" "what you doin leads to hell" we shouldnt do that, we should let Allah (swt) judge and if someone is doin somethin wrong, tell them nicely, like "bro thats haraam in islam, come lets share sum chips" like somethin nice, then the person would feel better that hes been told, but if tell people they are wrong in a aggressive way, then they will tend not to listen so we should make things easier and not harder for people

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Make things easy and do not make them difficult, cheer the people up by conveying glad tidings to them and do not repulse (them).''
    [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

again this hadiths fits in what moi said before , tell people good stuff like "praying leads to jannah, and in jannah there are rivers and if your really really good you can meet all the Prophets (as) and the Sahaba (ra)" like stuff like that will encourage them towards good, when your tellin someone "by doin that, your gona be drinkin boilin water and eatin spikey foods which wont fill you up, in hell" that will discourage them.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man asked the Prophet (PBUH) to give him advice, and he (PBUH) said, "Do not get angry.'' The man repeated that several times and he (PBUH) replied (every time), "Do not get angry.''
    [Al-Bukhari]

Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Whenever the Prophet (PBUH) was given a choice between two matters, he would (always) choose the easier as long as it was not sinful to do so; but if it was sinful he was most strict in avoiding it. He never took revenge upon anybody for his own sake; but when Allah's Legal Bindings were outraged, he would take revenge for Allah's sake.
    [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

now im gona finish off with two hadiths that propa some up todays talk

Jarir bin `Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who is deprived of forbearance and gentleness is, in fact, deprived of all good.''
    [Muslim]

    and . . .

Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Shall I not tell you whom the (Hell) Fire is forbidden to touch? It is forbidden to touch a man who is always accessible, having polite and tender nature.''
    [At-Tirmidhi]

hope this is beneficial and we can all become tolerant and mild when dealing with people

may Allah swt reward you for this reminder, I can't understand why every1 don't make mildness and gentleness and forbearance more of a priority? because clearly it is something really emphasised by the Prophet pbuh and in the Book of Allah. instead of that we Muslims have a reputation for being the opposite of mild and gentle

salam, mashaAllah, a goodarticle.still i don,t fully agree with above opinion.telling alone the qualities of jannah wouldn,t do.prophet(S.A.W)HAS warned us about hell so that they r aware of the punishment and be cautious.other wise he would have just mentioned of heaven and kept quite of punishment.both the rewardof heaven and punishment should be spread among people according to the situation .people should be aware of both.the more one is aware of hell the more he will want to be away frombad deed, and the more he is aware of paradise the more he will with his good deed.AllahuAhlam
