*!* Those Whose Faults Should Not Be Mentioned! *!*

“There is no honourable person, scholar or doer of good except that he has a shortcoming. However, there are some people to whom we should not mention their faults , that is, those whose good deeds exceed their faults.”

I do not agree with this article or piece of writing. Here is the reason. If you do not tell a person his/her fault where lies the correction???
Yes indeed, there are ways of approching someone to point his/her fault. Public reproach is not necessary in most cases if you believe that the person who is at fault is a pious person whose faults are less than his good deeds. But still you need to point out in a very humble way and manner so that correction is possible. Actually when you are correcting someone , you in turn are correcting yourself, so one should never shy away from mentioning a possible corrective measure whenever the need arises.
This is mutafaka Allay Hadees of Rasul Allah s.a.w. " kul bani adam khataoon wa khairul khataeena tawwaboon" Translation: All children of Aadum Alay salam(men and women) are khatakaar (wrongdoers) but among those the best are the ones who do tauba to Allah( correct themselves).
Another example of this correction is an Imam of a mosque. Lets suppose he is very pious and very honest person. Never lies and never speak falsehood. His life is a parable of truthfullness and righteousness. Now suppose whenever he leads a prayer he says some words of the quran wrong or misses out on some ayats in his recitation or when he deliver a khutabah he quote a weak hadees of Rasul Allah. Now let me ask all brothers and sisters on this forum " what will you do???????" will you sit quietly and let this go on and on since he is pious and honest muslim or approach the imam privately and discuss this matter and point out his short comings in a gentle manner.
Even it it allowed to correct the Imam during prayers if he skip on an ayat. You must know that many times during my presense in the Haram both at Mecca and Madina the imam skipped or missed some verse and was immediately corrected from behind.
So my point is correction is always necessary but how you approach a person is upto you. If you rebuke a person publicly and hurt him intentionally , you will be taken for task on the day of judgement. So approach is the key here.
Who is more pious then Rasul Allah or more honest than him and his good deeds exceed all the muslims combined yet he was reproached by Allah in Surah Abasa when a blind man came to Mohammad s.a.w and he tured his face away from him and got annoyed. Here lies the example , here lies the truth , here lies the correction and here lies the guidance for all mankind.
