    ^^Using Google translate:
The Imam and speaker of the Holy Mosque of Mecca, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Homaid recommended Muslims to fear Allah the Almighty and follow moderate position regarding the case of the woman and her rights under texts of Islamic law by abandoning the bad traditions that oppose the principles of Islam in this area.

In his Friday sermon March 10, 2006 at the Holy Mosque in Mecca, his eminence said:
Conversations and discussions people wear these days on reform, opening , construction , tolerance , cooperation, on the abolition of differences and disputes , and the fight against injustice , aggression and corruption in the context of the need for commitment to the path of moderation and the golden mean . The ulama , reformers and people of common sense should discuss these issues and explain their bases and methods used to implement them , however often it would be unfortunate to see the ideas of Muslim men grown misunderstood or misinterpreted consciously or unconsciously .
O Muslims ! Every Muslim has the total unshakeable conviction that Islam provides its followers, its people , its society, and community happiness and dignity in this life and the best reward in the afterlife as they s' attach to the precepts of their religion, and guided their Prophet , peace and blessings be upon him . Muslims are convinced that adherence to Islam and attachment to Islamic identity do not occur without the sincere belonging to the religion based on sound faith and the principles of Sharia , in his words, his actions and his belief.

O Muslims ! Given the magnitude of these religious constants , it would be convenient to choose a significant example may shed light on this question, it is the position of the juste milieu concerning the case of women, their rights and its problems. This position juste milieu is based on the implementation of the Sharia and the postage and customs blameworthy on the use of sharia judge ancient and contemporary things to be able to distinguish between the constants of religion and things which are not inherent in him .

Many people deal with the issue of women's rights in articles, books, and at conferences, however, it evokes the rights of a fuzzy manner and on a rant and then find that many interventions addressing this issue are inconsistent or pretentious , footprints hypocrisy and ambiguous . Speech writers, men and women dealing with issues of human rights and women is still characterized by a lack of clarity or clear objective , in such an environment, those who seek the truth and those who do not turn in a circle , then the truth will remain lost because of ineffective efforts are causing discussions whose arguments are false.
O Muslims ! Undoubtedly, women have rights like the man everyone knows . It has obligations to fulfill and even man has duties to perform . It is necessary to raise awareness among women of their rights, help to acquire and maintain . It is a religious obligation that the woman knows that to refrain from claiming his rights before his father, brother or husband is not part of modesty or good morals.

Indeed, the authority of the man over the woman bears no domination, injustice , and tyranny. However, in Muslim countries , there are unfair practices and the woman often been oppression , repression and marginalization. She is injured in the good human life in his education, marital home , his rights to the expense, to educate his children, good treatment, a charity and respect. It should well consider these unfair practices to eliminate them from society. There is a domination over women and its properties, and a forfeiture of his right to make a decision or participate on many of its business and its peculiarities. The woman has the right to be treated fairly, to get his share of the inheritance , wealth and gifts according to the precepts of Shariah. In Muslim countries , women are often beaten, repressed , private wedding , deprived of his money and is subject to other law enforcement practices.

We affirm that we must help women, support , encourage them to get their rights and complain to his wise parents or complain to justice and officials to express their suffering and we can do it justice . It is not allowed to remain silent before the marginalization of women, the rejection of his role in his home and in his company , to disregard it or ways to minimize or affect its rights.
O Muslims ! Another problematic aspect should be considered, it is the woman's work outside the home . It should be clear that Islam never asks the woman to assume the responsibility of working out of his house , but he did not stop to do according to the rules of Sharia . Islam liberates women the responsibility of working out of his home so that its requirements do not enslave or exploit it .
O Muslims ! Think of course the current situation in the world today where the economic factor or material plays an important role in life. In Islam, the economy is a significant factor , but there are other factors and other criteria. For others, the material factor is the most important and represents the standard of the best social life, which minimized a lot of rights and vital factors in life in general. According to this false standard followed at that time, the woman she is a girl in the house of his father , a wife in her marital home is responsible for spending itself. It has inspired women of that time that all men and women should seek at all costs to raise the largest amount of money and material pleasures . In such an environment , the girl will have to go out every morning , like every individual in the society for a living . It also inspires the woman he is ashamed to see his father , compassionate to her work as she goes painfully searching hard work out of his house . For them , it is unacceptable that the husband is responsible for her spending and protection of the family , then the wife will need to lose all hope and meet the difficult circumstances of everyday life.

O Muslim brothers ! Some may say that this situation depends on the non-Muslims, but whoever reads the articles and books spread by writers and intellectuals ( Muslim ) men and women and listen to their discussions, unfortunately find that they call to follow the example of the non-Muslims and argue that such behavior is the desired goal? I can honestly say that the demands of the job become , therefore, the basis of all the duties and responsibilities of all individuals in society , men and women , then the company will be swamped with work , the family will be undermined, the unstable society . This company can not be in a normal situation when the cohesion between the members of the family and when the husband, wife , father and mother , each knows his responsibility.

O Muslims ! Based on this philosophy and mentality foreign Muslims , the woman was prevented from educating his children, then undermined her femininity , dignity humiliated, she becomes indecent and shameless because she was forced to leave his house , unique way to earn a living, and was obliged to seek any job that matches or not his nature to capture the same tedious job opportunity , which is usually held by men. We must take this issue seriously and address its adverse consequences.

Indeed , companies that opened the double doors to this philosophy live a purely material feverish race where we see women engaged in hard work , day and night, in tunnels, mines and on the street . In such a situation , the media must address the rights and issues concerning women , with emphasis on the separation between the personal beliefs of some writers, men or women, and Sharia .
We speak of an Islamic thought, Islamic culture and Islamic media that seek to protect Muslim societies the benefits and shortcomings of materialistic societies , but the media can not complete this task without the attachment to religion, its precepts and Shari'a without information means enlightened sensible strengthen the positive role of women and support their right to the overall development of society , education , and adequate employment. These means are also supposed to reject and denounce all forms of exploitation of women who values and virtues , who despise his personality and dignity of trafficking who considers a marketed through advertising and media goods.

O Muslims ! Calls by some media and writers in Islamic countries to engage Muslim women in all areas without caution , inspire their submission to the deflected trends do not attach any importance to the Shariah and decency , which proves bad intent these trends. Muslims , countries, nations and families are invited to take measures to dispel doubts, enforce quiet , safe and provide employment opportunities to preserve the balance of the family and society .

Despite these negatives, the ulama of Sharia have made considerable efforts to guide society towards moderate thought and they were able to slow many extremist tendencies or who do not comply with Sharia .
Allah says: "Muslims and Muslim believers and believers, obedient, obedient , loyal and honest , patient and enduring , those who fear him, those who pay the alms, fasting and fasters , guards their chastity and caregivers , those who often invoke Allah Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward. It is not for a believing man or a believing woman , when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their act. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he surely strays off a manifest straying " Surat - the coalition - verse 35 and 36.

The translated version is rather hard to understand... I get the impression that it is appealing to the 'goodness' of people and compassion in being fair to women.

a mon avis c'est tres bien dit ca..Its always so heartwarming to see muslim men supporting and promoting the rights and well being of women in islam..i don’t mean to sound trite but it really is...just by posting this it is a hassanet for you brother inshallah...there is nothing more inspiring for a muslim woman, than when she sees brothers who are viewing women in 4dimension, not 2dimension, not just as an object or a thing of beauty, not just a pretty face with or without a brain, but also seeing much deeper than that, her character, her intellect, her personality, her soul...i mean really knowing it and choosing to know it...and it is equally heartwarming to hear or see muslim men who instead of suppressing her (which i know some men do with intention, others do it without even realising it), and taking away her god given rights to be a fully functioning human being in various ways, helps her to cultivate these things and grow spiritually and mentally as a human being. As she does him, and as only us enlightened muslims (as opposed to the ignorant/uneducated muslims) know is the Islamic way...
There are many many amazing muslim brothers out there mashallah, but sadly, the media portrays only the ‘bad’ ones from certain countries and cultures which i won’t name...

I always did find it odd that not once has there ever on UK tv been a programme featuring English/American male reverts to islam...no promotion or mention of them in the media....they’ve done one about female muslim reverts many times...i think it's because they know that English/American men only become better men when they revert to islam, with more depth to one muslim man than a hundred non muslim men put together (no offence to non muslim men there honestly, but when you have faith it does add an awful lot of depth to a person and makes them appear more attractive) so they’re terrified all the western women will start covering up and reverting to islam to marry these guys...lol....
