Hello everyone. I am a revert and this is my first ramadan and i do fast but dnt pray because i dnt know how and i also don't speak arabic.does my fast count at all? Thank you

Muslimah_B, I am not sure about praying in another language. As far as I know, it has to be in Arabic, start to end.

(every revert i have known always told me the people at the masjid told then they could pray in *English* untill they learnt the Arabic, i always said no its not possible, then someone else said it who was muslim a very long time so i never questioned them, which i should have)

Yeah we should pray in Arabic. Duas can be made in English because that's personal. But the salat is kept the way the Prophet used to perform it in which was Arabic. Hope that helped

What is compulsory are the
A) state of purity and wudu'.
B) intention or the niyah "usolli fard ...."
C) the actions
D) the complementary recitations with each action.
For this (D) Allahu akbar for every action except for the 'sami Allahuliman hamidah' part. The Al fatihah for every rakaat (cycle). The atahiyya on the second and final rakaah followed by the salam to the left and right. All other saying is not compulsory. So you can learn them along the way.
Another thing, don't say the Al Fatihah twice. Learn another short surah for that.
Finally, the bit missed out in the written exercise, the bit to recite when you are in the sitting position, well really, that is your dua for yourself. Asking Allah for numerous things.. see that you just came from the sujood position and ask Allah, in prayer, then immediately sujood again.. get the relevance? Sad, but I see so many rush through this...
