Committing sins and making mistakes is a part of human nature since man is inclined to error. The realisation of sin and repentance is the grace of Allah's mercy as well as it's a form of guidance for us to repent and seek forgiveness from Allah. The haunting effects of sin may disturb person’s , inner peace and calm as his conscience and soul become restless with guilt feelings. So Allah has kept the door of forgiveness open till our last breath. He forgives everything except associating others with Him. Many sinners do not feel guilty even after sinning. And so they become rebellious in sin. Repentance from sin brings revival to our souls. As often as it is done, the soul gets purified. The fortunate are those who repent as soon as they sin, and the one who does not consider their sin to be a sin is unfortunate. Repenting and seeking forgiveness from Allah are also taught by our Prophet. The following Dupplicstion is called Syedul Astaghfar

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You have created me and I am Your slave and I am keeping my promise and covenant to You as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I do. I acknowledge Your blessing and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for there is none who can forgive sin except You.

Narrated Shaddad bin Aus R.A :

The Prophet pbuh said “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: ‘Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana Abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, Audhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, Abu ‘u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu ‘u laka bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta.” The Prophet PBUH added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

"Verily, Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His slave than a person who lost his camel in a desert land and then finds it (unexpectedly)”.[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

In another version of Muslim, he said:

“Verily, Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than a person who has his camel in a waterless desert carrying his provision of food and drink and it is lost. He, having lost all hopes (to get that back), lies down in shade and is disappointed about his camel; when all of a sudden he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of its reins and then out of boundless joy blurts out: ‘O Allah, You are my slave and I am Your Rubb’.He commits this mistake out of extreme joy.”

Narrated by Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Messenger PBUH saying.” By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Allah wants us to be in constant remembrance of Him. He knows we are going to fall into sin but he wants us to be from those who constantly seek His forgiveness and ask for His mercy.

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) having said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. (Sahih Muslim)

Besides this one can make morning and evening Lashkar/ supplication, and read Qur'an daily whenever he can. Asking for forgiveness is a successful remedy for getting rid of sins and a blessing from Allah.

“The morning and evening adhkar play the role of a shield; the thicker it is, the more its owner is protected. Rather, its strength can reach to such an extent that the arrow shot at it will bounce back to affect the one who shot it." (Ibn al-Qayyim)

"O Allah forgive my sins, keep Satan away from me, ... My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils!images%20(100).jpgimages%20-%202022-10-03T233106.431.jpg
