Omg I've been finding this very hard to wake up for this pray to be honest...I always feel really bad when I've missed it. Keep at it guess, thanks for the tips maybe I'll try drinking water one..that might help.
Think of it this way:
you have an important exam/interview/appointment next day that you can't miss. You will keep thinking of it all the day and that's why sometimes we wake up even before hearing the alarm clock! We can't miss that interview/appointment.
What if we will be interviewed by the Creator of heavens and earth??
You can't be late to your work because your boss will be angry at you and that will affect your work.
What if you were late to attend the daily appointment with the creator of your boss and the whole university?
Praying Fajir is like filling up your empty car with fuel in the beginning of your day. If you missed it, your day is ruined!
I think reading Isha is harder! Feel so tired after work, that you just doze off without even realising..
Just some ahadith:
"Our Lord descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?"
"The best prayer before Allaah is Fajr prayer on Friday in congregation."
“Whoever prays fajr is under the protection of Allah. Do not put yourselves in a situation where Allah has to call you to account for your negligence.”
Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: “If we did not see a person at fajr and ‘isha’ prayers, we would think badly of him.”
:bump:
Let's share some more tips InshaAllaah....
lol drink lots n lots of water before sleeping :p
Developing the habit of waking up for Tahajjud and Fajr prayers in Ramadan:
During the blessed month of Ramadan we have the best opportunity to be able to train our bodys to wake up early. It is by far the best time to develop the habit of being able to wake up for Tahajjud prayer aswell as Fajr. This is because we constantly wake up around the same time for 30 nights and due to this our bodies get so used to waking up around the same time before that even after Ramadan we may automatically wake up around the same time as we did during Ramadan.
Therefore it is essential that we take advantage of being able to wake up early and continue to wake up before Fajr straight after Ramadan because this habit may end up dissapearing straight away if we are not careful. Therefore we must continue to wake up around the same time so that we are able to pray the Tahajjud and Fajr prayers.
Developing the habit of waking up for Tahajjud prayer in the latter parts of the night at any other time of the year is very difficult but during Ramadan we have the opportunity of training our bodys to wake up before Fajr which is the time of Tahajjud. Tahajjud prayer is by far the best voluntary prayer and enables one to develop a special bond and closeness to Allah and gives one an opportunity to be able to gain the top ranks of Paradise. On top of that Dua's at this time are readily accepted at this tim. See the followiong thread for more information on:
The Virtues of Tahajjud - The Night Vigil Prayer:

So let us continue to wake up before Fajr so that we may develop the habit of praying Tahajjud. If we are not able to do so then we should at least wake up in time for the Fajr prayer as during Ramadan is by far the best time of the year to train the body to wake up early.
May Allah enable all of us to develop the habit of praying Tahajjud and praying Fajr on time (in congregation for men). Ameen
As'alaamu Alaikkum
In my honest and humble opinion one should not need 'tips of waking up for fajr' if you want the pleasure of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala and you want to please Him. If you have love and fear for Him then you would automatically wake up every morning without any problems. This is when you say to yourself "I need five minutes more sleep" and end up missing fajr prayer. Sorry to upset all the lazybones here.
Are you neglecting the Fajr Prayer:

Fajr is a discipline. Only you alone can do something about it.
My tip is this. I know I am very comfortable in my bed when the alarm rings. I reach out to turn the alarm off. Then I take a deep breath and slowly work up a stretch, usually that also includes a yawn, then I relax for a few seconds and slowly sit up. If it is your intention to do it, you will. Remember you want to get up and say NO to that extra few minutes. If you have to put your alarm clock way over there then your intention to get up is not a real one....only circumstantial. I do sometimes sleep again after it....
I used to struggle to do the 5 daily prayers. It is a lot easier to do in the tropical zone because the times do not vary very much throughout the year, hence it could be made a routine unlike 4 season countries where prayer times vary greatly season to season. One day, I was at a friend's and the topic of the day was islam, when it was time for me to leave, a person had these parting words for me. He said, 'If someone calls you in the morning and asks you what are you doing? Tell him you are waiting for Zuhur. And if he calls you after Zuhur and asks what are you doing? You tell him you are waiting for Asar....' and he goes on with the story until 'If someone calls you after Maghrib and asks what are you doing, tell him you are waiting for Isya' and when he finished I said 'Thank you' and went off. I was thinking to myself, 'I'm not going to be saying that to people who call!' but the idea of waiting for the next fard prayer stuck. And in most cases, I still find myself looking forward to it, and it has been 4-5 years since. This is a 'share' because it worked for me and I hope it will work for you. Look forward to it.
Like a half filled glass, it could be viewed as half full or half empty, you can either look forward to the next prayer time or be caught off guard that it has already entered or passed. Just DO IT, after a while you feel incomplete if you do not complete the 5 daily prayers. In syaa Allah.
May Allah forgive all our sins.
Peace
Assalamualaikum.
The secret of successful wake up for fajr and tahajjud is strong intention. We don't even need alarm because if we have strong intention, then angel would wake us up.
I know it from my ustadz, and it's true.
If we don't have strong intention, then when the alarm is ringing we would wake up but probably just turn off the alarm and sleep again.
