    Re: tahajjud tips and tricks

Do you still need an answer? I just found this unanswered, sorry for late reaction.

There's a good app on google play store. It's called "I can't wake up" and it's alarm with tasks. You cant turn it off before finishing a task, like rewriting something. Then it checks if you're awake in 5 minutes and again and again. That app is something you're going to hate, but you'll never miss any prayer. Wallahi, once I deinstalled it, but in order to deinstall the app, I had to really wake up. If you don't hear alarm, put your phone in a metal bowl and it'll be super loud.

Also, ask Allah to wake you up, but you need to be sincere. If you actually don't want to wake up for fajr or night prayer, He won't wake you up.

    Re: tahajjud tips and tricks

    The tips are:
-cutting down caloric intake and losing weight
    -eating superfoods
    -fitness and weight lifting
    -good family life
    -nawafil fasting
-a lot of adhkaar, salawat, estegfar, duas, especially duas before sleeping (try to find and recite them all) (among most important tips)
-reciting two last ayahs from surah al Kahf before sleep with niyyah to wake up for tahajjud
    -sleeping after work

I reference this answer, regarding fajr, but earlier I think I found, regarding that two ayah, that it is very beneficial to recite them regarding waking up for tahajjud

For more spiritual tips - Quran

The more you engage with Quran the better. Also, as the best tip for salaat khusho is to add more salaat, this helps with waking up for tahajjud as well. For instance, when you pray any salaat, your concentration is weak, but next one it's getting better. Sunnah prayers are often before fard prayers. However and whenever I tried this - it works.

Sometimes, I pray 2 rakaat after Isha, with intention to prevent missing night prayer, in case I don't wake up. And I do wake up. If I miss to do that, often have difficulties with getting up.

As for logical things, we always have that thought of sleep deprivation if we sleep only few hours. But, tahajjud gives us barakah. So, send away shaytan with this logical thought of barakah in sleep

    @Simply_Logical

It is well known from traditional secondary sources that eating more leads to more sleep and it is experienced and tested by many and fasting is seen as cardinal branch of spiritual development along with sadaqah, vigilence, nawafil, dhikr, salawat, estegfar, shukr, dua etc.

Some go further and advise even maybe calorie restriction and hunger.

It is well known from recent literature and scientific works that fasting and calorie restriction have a wide range of benefits, like rejuvenating body, autophagy, healing chronic diseases, weight loss, increasing NGF, BDNF, HGH, lowering inflammation etc.

You should read books and research to find similar answers.

Oh yes, I know. It's hard sometimes or most of the times, depends on the situation. It's normal

Spiritual weaknesses often come during times of ease. That is why we go through hardships, to get back, closer, to Allah. and of course, food has nothing to do with that. That's total nonsense.

Besides Quran and extra prayers, especially if I get to the ease, I think of something I want so much, no matter this world or Akhirah and then I start praying more. If I keep going through spiritual weakness, hardship is on horizon - always. And if I can't find anything I really want, I simply ask Allah to give me a worry, and He does that instantly. Just find a motivation.

And don't forget the very famous hadith about us taking steps to get closer to Allah :-) The one where Allah comes faster to us.

Hmmm, how about you make extra sujood and/or prolong sujood during fard prayers if you're not already doing that? That could be your first little step.

    Re: tahajjud tips and tricks

Here you have some primary sources from Sahih Bukhari, book 65.:
    Volume 7, Book 65, Number 305:
    Narrated Nafi':

Ibn 'Umar never used to take his meal unless a poor man was called to eat with him. One day I brought a poor man to eat with him, the man ate too much, whereupon Ibn 'Umar said, "O Nafi'! Don't let this man enter my house, for I heard the Prophet saying, "A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with a little food), and a kafir (unbeliever) eats in seven intestines (eats much food)."

    Volume 7, Book 65, Number 306:
    Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

Allah's Apostle said, "A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with a little food), and a kafir (unbeliever) or a hypocrite eats in seven intestines (eats too much)."

    Volume 7, Book 65, Number 307:
    Narrated 'Amr:

Abu Nahik was avaricious eater. Ibn 'Umar said to him, "Allah's Apostle said, "A Kafir (unbeliever) eats in seven intestines (eats much)." On that Abu Nahik said, "But I believe in Allah and His Apostle ."

    Volume 7, Book 65, Number 308:
    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "A Muslim eats in one intestine (i.e. he is satisfied with a little food) while a Kafir (unbeliever) eats in seven intestines (eats much)."

    Volume 7, Book 65, Number 309:
    Narrated Abu Huraira:

A man used to eat much, but when he embraced Islam, he started eating less. That was mentioned to the Prophet who then said, "A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with a little food) and a Kafir eats in seven intestines (eats much). "

you know maybe you got a point i didnt understand the angle from where you meant,
silly as it may sound but the less caloric intake would mean less bloat and heavy feeling which in turn could make getting up a bit easier Allah swt knows best though

yes i know about islamic fasting which is dry fasting, wet fasting and intermittent fasting etc brother thanks for explaining may Allah swt reward you immensely Ameen
